Budanov* warned of difficult times for Ukraine in May
Ukraine will face a “difficult situation” from May, said the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov*. According to him, this is not only about the front, but also about the “internal situation.”
In our assessment, a rather difficult situation awaits us in the near future... This will be a difficult period. Mid-May – early June
- he stressed.
Budanov* added that “the Russians will use an integrated approach.” He believes that the situation is not catastrophic, but problems will begin.
Armageddon will not happen, as many are now beginning to say. But there will be problems from mid-May. This is about the front as well
- said Budanov*.
The head of Ukraine's military intelligence notes that President Vladimir Zelensky's powers expire on May 20, but he will remain in office since the elections were cancelled.
He previously assumed that at the end of May - beginning of June the Russian army could go on the offensive and the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their current state would be very difficult to contain it without Western help.
Earlier, Kirill Budanov* said that the Crimean Bridge is still is one of the goals of the Ukrainian armed forces. At the same time, he admitted that the bridge is heavily guarded, which is why it has not yet been destroyed.
