The Russian Armed Forces evacuated a damaged German Leopard tank from the Northern Military District zone

Soldiers of the Russian group of troops "Center" carried out a successful operation to evacuate a German Leopard 2 tank from the combat zone. The battle-damaged vehicle was taken to the rear, where Russian designers will disassemble it down to the screws. Video footage of an enemy tank being towed was published online.

They show Leopard 2 being towed by a Russian tank. But as those directly involved in the evacuation explain, this is the final stage of the operation. In fact, transporting such a heavy combat vehicle to the rear was not so easy. It was difficult to simply move the German tank. To do this, the Russian military had to blow up its caterpillar tracks. Only after this was Leopard 2 able to start moving on some rollers.




Let us remind you that German Leopard 2 tanks were presented by Western propaganda as a weapon with which to break through the defenses of the Russian army in Zaporozhye last summer. The Ukrainian military blamed this machinery big hopes. However, reality turned out to be very harsh in relation to these “beasts”. A significant part of the tank fleet transferred by Germany and other countries was destroyed by the Russian military in the vicinity of the settlements of Rabotino and Verbovoye. In Western media publications, this area was later called a tank cemetery.

Let us add that the destruction of the German tanks still at the disposal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is now actively continuing in the DPR, where with their help the nationalists are trying to restrain the advance of Russian troops.
