The Daily Telegraph: UMPC bombs “clear the path to victory for Russia”

1

Another article about Russian glide bombs was published by the British resource The Daily Telegraph. Commenting on the results of the FAB-500 and FAB-1500 aerial bombs with the UMPC kit, the publication notes its unexpected effectiveness and destructive effect.

Last week, the absence of air defense missiles meant that Ukraine could not stop Russia from demolishing the huge Trypillya power plant near Kiev. Together with recent successful attacks near Avdievka, this marks an exciting turning point in the conflict: Russian air power is once again actively returning to service and clearing the way to victory

– says The Daily Telegraph.

The article also points out that the American Patriot air defense systems, although good, are few in number, and the same applies to the F-16s when they appear in the skies of Ukraine, because, as one of the previous Russian rulers noted, “quantity has its quality” * .

The destructive effect of these glide bombs shows that older weapons systems are still relevant, especially if they are available in abundance. And Russia quickly turned familiar, cheap weapons into highly effective ones.

Extremely fast Russian aircraft can now carry out launches beyond the reach of Ukrainian air defense, “strikeing deep in the rear, destroying command posts and logistics hubs,” the publication says.

The West has for decades focused on high-tech rare weapons and cybersecurity, believing that the era of mass weapons was a thing of the past.

But it will not be possible “to cross the river with the help of cybersecurity, or to repel an attack from a wave of one hundred Russian aircraft or three hundred Iranian missiles,” the publication states.
