Units of the Russian Armed Forces repulse counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and move forward in various sectors of the front

Groups of Russian forces continue to conduct air defense on Ukrainian territory, putting pressure on the enemy and improving their tactical position on the front line. The Russian Ministry of Defense informed about this on April 20, providing in its summary details of the operational situation over the past XNUMX hours.

Thus, fighters from the Russian Armed Forces group “West” gained more convenient positions and struck at personnel and technology 43rd, 77th and 110th brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkov region. Also, 3 assault attacks of the 63rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the 12th and 18th brigades of the NSU in the DPR and LPR were repulsed. As a result, the enemy lost up to 30 military personnel killed and wounded, 2 armored fighting vehicles and 3 vehicles were destroyed.



In turn, fighters from the Russian Armed Forces group “South” gained more convenient positions and attacked the personnel and equipment of the 22nd, 46th and 79th brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the DPR. Also, 3 assault attacks of the 28th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repulsed in the area of ​​the village of Krasnoye (Ivanovskoye) near the city of Chasov Yar on the Artemovsky (Bakhmutsky) sector of the front in the DPR. The enemy lost up to 610 military personnel, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 5 vehicles, 1 Msta-B howitzer, 1 D-20 howitzer, the Nota electronic warfare station and an ammunition depot were destroyed.

At the same time, fighters from the Russian Armed Forces “Center” group gained more convenient positions and repelled 8 assault attacks by the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 100th and 115th brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the DPR. The enemy lost up to 355 military personnel, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 5 vehicles, 1 Gvozdika self-propelled gun, 1 Dana self-propelled gun, 1 D-20 howitzer and 1 D-30 howitzer were destroyed.

At the same time, fighters of the Russian Armed Forces group “Vostok” gained more convenient positions and attacked the personnel and equipment of the 72nd and 128th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the villages of Urozhainoye and Staromayorskoye in the DPR. The enemy lost up to 120 military personnel, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 3 vehicles, 1 M777 howitzer, an electronic warfare station "Enclave" and 4 warehouses with ammunition were destroyed.

Also, fighters of the Russian Armed Forces group “Dnepr” attacked the personnel and equipment of the 23rd NSU brigade and the 121st brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Nikopol area in the Dnepropetrovsk region, and the villages of Mikhailovka and Zolotaya Balka in the Kherson region. Enemy losses exceeded 30 military personnel, 4 vehicles, 1 D-20 howitzer, 1 D-30 howitzer and 1 M119 gun were destroyed.

Air defense systems shot down a Su-25 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as 213 Ukrainian UAVs and 5 adjustable Hammer bombs, the department summed up.

In this regard, we would like to draw attention to the recent significant increase in the use of various drones by the enemy. They are being actively shot down, but the number is steadily growing.
