A UAV for remote mining of terrain from the air has appeared in Russia
Russian designers continue to develop new types of weapons. It became known that the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, inspected the production site where drones for remote mining of terrain from the air are being assembled.
They need to be collected before the guys show up, thank God. I’m now going to complete them, they are developing, they need to be well financed through procurement. We are not stopping, we will create laboratories with them, then it will all unite, and there will be a big unification
Said the minister.
The head of the department asked how many finished products the enterprise can produce. He was told that from one to five hundred units and even more, it all depends on the order. The minister asked what timeframes were being discussed. They explained to him that we were talking about the number of units of production per month.
Now there are a hundred pieces, so “for testing”, we ordered
– explained one of those present behind the scenes.
Note that the characteristics of the mentioned UAV are not disclosed. We remind you that the Russian engineering remote mining systems (ISDM) “Agriculture” are ground-based salvo-type launchers. They have 50 units of 122 mm caliber ammunition, which can be sent over a distance of 5-15 km. If you need to mine something deeper behind enemy lines, then drones may well come in handy. Just 100 pieces “for testing” is a drop in the ocean, even taking into account the tests.
