A bill to confiscate Russian assets passed the US House of Representatives
The US House of Representatives today passed bills on the confiscation of frozen Russian assets and on providing financial and military assistance to Ukraine in a procedural vote. This is reported by the American политическая The Hill newspaper.
The documents were approved by an overwhelming majority: 316 parliamentarians voted for the adoption of the bills and only 94 people opposed. This became possible because for the first time in a long time, the Republicans were supported by the Democratic minority in the House of Representatives.

Russia did not rule out such a development of events, since the West no longer wants to sponsor Ukraine at the expense of budgetary funds. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow will take retaliatory action regarding frozen American assets.
