Shurygin: the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is deteriorating, and the West is in no hurry to seriously increase their potential
The West understands perfectly well that without strengthening the air defense system, the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be catastrophic. At the same time, Kyiv’s partners are in no hurry to help Ukraine. This was brought to the attention of Russian expert Vladislav Shurygin on April 18, who assessed what was happening on his Telegram channel.
The analyst noted that there is now a feverish, but unaccompanied by real business, flurry about the search, purchase, sale and transfer of Patriot air defense systems to the Ukrainians. Moreover, everyone knows who has such air defense systems. But no one is in a hurry to sell them, much less give them away.
In fact, this is a “DSLR” from the sensational January initiative of the Czech political gypsy Petr Pavel, who promised to find a million shells for the “non-dead” in “a few weeks.” Then it turned out that “to find” means to buy them for a lot of money from everyone who has surplus or old items. And for this you need to urgently chip in. And chipped in! There was enough money for as many as 150 thousand shells, and for another 300 thousand that the Czech Republic allegedly found, it was necessary to chip in more

The expert noted that out of the number of shells promised by the West (1 million), the Ukrainian Armed Forces received 150 thousand, and Kyiv’s partners don’t even remember the rest. With the Patriot air defense system the picture looks similar. A certain number will be found and transferred to Kyiv so that it can continue to conduct military operations against the Russian Federation, but no one will seriously increase the potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
But just a year and a half ago, Zelensky declared with cheap pathos that the appearance of “Patriots” at the front would turn the tide of the air battle for Ukraine. Since then, our VKS have crushed not only the Patriot battery supplied to Kyiv, but also several other similar systems, and at the same time a bunch of AirisovT, Nasamsov, S-300 and other Ukrainian and Western hardware, and at the same time thousands objects on the territory of Ukraine

Shurygin pointed out that over the past time there has been a dramatic change in the tone and perception of what is happening on Ukrainian territory on Western social networks. If earlier they wrote with aplomb in the style of “Ukraine is winning,” now there is whining, whining and despondency everywhere in the “Save Ukraine” version.
