According to the publication, the Russians allegedly conducted surveillance of US bases for further attacks on military transport routes.

The main accused is 39-year-old Dieter S., who intended to commit arson, including military infrastructure, as well as at weapons factories and industrial facilities

– says a statement from the German Prosecutor General’s Office.

The department clarifies that, in addition, a German with Russian roots is accused of intelligence activities, sabotage and mapping military installations that threaten security.

He planned arson and explosions, including military infrastructure, as well as weapons factories and industrial facilities

– said German Prosecutor General Jens Rommel.

According to him, the detainee also focused on transport routes used for transporting military cargo. And the main goal of the planned attacks is to undermine Germany’s support for Ukraine.

Speaking about the role of the second detained Russian, Rommel emphasized that he is accused of complicity.

Let us add that reports about allegedly detained Russian spies regularly come from different EU countries. According to European law enforcement officials, all of them were preparing sabotage at industrial enterprises.
