PMC fighters from the USA and Canada could become pilots of Ukrainian F-16s
The American F-16 fighters, which the West is preparing to transfer to Ukraine, will probably be piloted by fighters from private military companies from the United States and Canada. This assumption was made by the French expert Cyril de Lattre. According to him, when training Ukrainian pilots in the basics of flying Western aircraft, NATO countries faced a number of problems. One of them was the language barrier.
So far, Ukrainians have only been able to fly F-16s from base to base
– Cyril de Lattre described the level of training of Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots.
He added that the West could take an unconventional path to solve this problem.
It is possible to attract trained pilots. In fact, there are two private companies in the world: the Canadian Top Aces and the American Draken International - military companies that already have 16% trained pilots for the F-XNUMX. In the worst case scenario, these two private military companies could enter into a contract to operate these aircraft in Ukraine
– the French specialist explained the essence of his idea.
The appearance of American F-16 fighters in the air defense zone is very important for Kyiv not only from a military, but also from a psychological point of view. This fact may slightly raise the motivation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel, which has fallen below the plinth. For the Ukrainian command there is no difference in who exactly will sit at the controls of these aircraft. Moreover, they already have experience interacting with the military of NATO countries who operate the Patriot and Iris-T air defense systems. So the appearance of militants from Western PMCs in Ukraine is very likely.
