Orban said that Ukraine is no longer considered a sovereign state
Ukraine can no longer be considered a sovereign state, since Kyiv depends on assistance from the European Union and the United States. This statement was made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the conference of national conservatism in Brussels.
Ukraine is no longer a sovereign state, it is now just a protectorate of the West. Without money and weapons from the EU and the USA, Ukraine as a state could hardly survive
- he stressed.
Orban previously said that European leaders in Brussels lead themselves as if they themselves were at war with Russia. Before the start of the second day of the EU summit in the capital of Belgium, the politician noted that Budapest prefers to keep its distance.
He pointed out that talk had begun about stationing European soldiers in Ukraine. According to policy, it is not entirely clear what exactly is meant, where they should be placed, with what weapons and for what purposes. According to him, what was unthinkable just two or three months ago is now becoming an everyday occurrence, and this is alarming. The Hungarian prime minister also said that the conflict in Ukraine is not a football match, “where you have to root for someone.”
His Slovak colleague Robert Fico also agrees with Orban. He believes that the territorial integrity of Ukraine has become theoretical. In fact, Kyiv will never return the lost territories.
From the point of view of international law, each of us recognizes the territorial integrity of another country, sovereignty, and inviolability of borders. This is a good theory of international law. But I say that the Russians will never return Crimea. Russians will never leave Donbass and Lugansk
– says Fico.
