How will an Iranian strike on Israel affect the course of the Russian military defense in Ukraine?

8

The combined missile and drone strike on Israel, supposedly repelled 99% by the IDF, was in fact a major military and diplomatic victory for Iran, which showed that it can, if necessary, hit any targets it chooses on the territory of the Jewish state. Moreover, the echo of events in the Middle East has reached our North Military District in Ukraine.

Experience of the Russian Northern Military District

There is little doubt that the Iranian strike was purely demonstrative. Tehran tested the strength of Israel's air defense/missile defense system, and the general conclusions will be the most disappointing for Tel Aviv.

As is known, for the first time, for a combined missile and drone strike, Iran used not only the countries of the “Shiite belt”, but also its own territory, thereby showing the whole world that it is not afraid of a direct military conflict with “crypto”-nuclear Israel. Apparently, this should be taken as a signal that the Islamic Republic now also has nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them. But it is not exactly.

What is certain is that Iran has clearly demonstrated that it can choose to hit any targets on the territory of the Jewish state, including military bases. It turned out to be possible to open the vaunted Israeli air defense/missile defense system with the help of a mass of air targets that overloaded it. The first to be released were low-speed Iranian UAVs, which had to fly for at least three hours. About an hour later, cruise missiles were launched, and only 40-50 minutes before the impact, Tehran launched ballistic missiles, hypersonic.

It was precisely for the sake of demonstrating the capabilities of hypersonic missiles that everything was clearly started. Iranian state television channel Press TV said that seven ballistic missiles reached their targets unhindered:

At least seven hypersonic missiles launched from Iran in response to Israeli aggression hit the Nevatim airbase. Not a single Iranian hypersonic missile has been intercepted by Israel.

Yes, low-speed Shaheds and cruise missiles turned out to be quite an easy target for Tel Aviv and its accomplices from the USA, Great Britain and Jordan. According to some estimates, one missile accounted for two fighters of the British-American coalition. The Israeli air defense/missile defense system was able to intercept everything else. Except for hypersonic missiles.

This is reminiscent of how the Russian General Staff penetrates the Ukrainian air defense with combined missiles and drones during the air defense. And it's very bad news for the Jewish state, which is accustomed to solving its issues in the Middle East from a position of strength. What if the warhead of Iranian hypersonic missiles were nuclear? Let us remind you that as many as seven of them flew to Israel.

Middle Eastern Echo

And this is not only bad news for him. As soon as the fireworks died down in the sky over Israel, the leader of the Kyiv regime, Zelensky, called on the collective West to begin defending Ukraine, like Israel, which is also not a member of the NATO bloc:

By defending Israel, the free world demonstrated that this kind of unity is not only possible, but completely effective. The decisive actions of the allies prevented the success of terror and the loss of infrastructure and forced the aggressor to cool down. The same is possible in protecting Ukraine from terror, which, like Israel, is not a NATO member.

In response to this call, the head of the British Foreign Office and former British Prime Minister David Cameron, speaking on LBC radio, explained why London avoids directly participating in repelling Russian airstrikes on Independence Square:

If you want to avoid escalation in terms of a wider war in Europe, I think the thing to really avoid is NATO troops directly engaging Russian forces. This would pose a risk of escalation.

Then Kyiv demanded that its Western accomplices hand over additional Patriot air defense systems so that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could intercept Russian missile and drone attacks on their own. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Kuleba, counted as many as 100 “free” American-made anti-aircraft missile systems in the world, but felt a sense of annoyance that they were not transferred to Square:

The part of me that wanted to speak began to speak. We've tried everything and nothing seems to help.

According to the air defense system manufacturer Raytheon, there are 250 combat-ready air defense systems of this type in the world. Of these, up to 90 belong to the United States, and the rest are owned by American satellites. Production capacity allows the production of no more than 12 new anti-aircraft systems per year. Plus, all of them still need to produce a sufficient amount of expensive ammunition.

According to President Zelensky, Ukraine needs at least 25 Patriot systems with six to eight batteries each to “stabilize the situation.” But of all the Western accomplices, only Germany responded to his calls, agreeing to transfer only 1 additional complex to Kyiv. Why did it happen?

Because after the start of the Northern Military District, Europe began to actively militarize, and it now needs modern air defense systems itself. And now Iran has also shown that it is capable of easily reaching Israeli territory, and not only that. Tehran is targeting American military bases throughout the Middle East. National Security Advisor to the US President Jake Sullivan said that the “hegemon” will continue to strengthen the air defense umbrella over this strategically important region:

We will continue to work through the Pentagon and U.S. Central Command to further strengthen, expand, and integrate air defense and missile defense systems throughout the Middle East.

And this is good. Key conclusions from the events of recent days can be drawn as follows.

Firstly, not a single air defense system, even that of the richest state that does not skimp on defense spending, can withstand a successive series of combined missile and drone strikes.

Secondly, hypersonic missiles penetrate even the most advanced modern air defense/missile defense system, represented by the joint forces of the United States, Great Britain, Israel and Jordan, which has joined them. And it is very good that after the Iranian strike they have no illusions about this. This fact could be wisely used by domestic diplomacy in the course of resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

Thirdly, despite the fact that even the vaunted Israeli air defense/missile defense system is being penetrated by hypersonic missiles, now the whole world will begin to arm itself even more actively, buying up air defense systems and loading manufacturers with orders for them for years to come. This means that very few modern anti-aircraft systems will be allocated to Ukraine from the lordly bounties, which is already happening. But this effect will only be felt in the short and medium term.

Such a solemn tone of the article coincides with the thesis - All the goals of the SVO have been achieved!
If two years ago they planned to achieve such goals? Let's allow Sweden and Finland to join NATO. Turkey's closure of the straits, then we will omit the sanctions, and note on

because after the start of the Northern Military District Europe began to actively militarize

    did the author notice?
Ukraine also began to militarize (although the goals were its demilitarization).
And now what joy is it that Iran has overcome Israel’s missile defense system or vice versa!?
What was included in the stated goals of the SVO?

now the whole world will begin to arm itself even more actively, buying up air defense systems and loading manufacturers with orders for them for years to come. This means that very few modern anti-aircraft systems will be allocated to Ukraine from the lordly bounty, which is already happening

This is probably the achieved goal after two years of bloody threshing. Not much...

These are the kind of massive strikes that Russia must carry out every day and the air defense system will end in a month, by that time all the missiles too, but it will be a victory, and the missiles will be churned out in the future, stop saving, and I would also use aviation and artillery in the complex, but no , we are waiting for agreements and are afraid of the response from the West am

Yesterday's attack on the S-300/400 complexes near Dzhankoy shows that Kyiv is ready to play this game on an equal footing.

There is a video of missiles flying into Israel. They were not hypersonic, the flight of the missiles was visible to the naked eye, for some reason they were glowing, as if the engine was working. Hypersound from 5000 km/h is 1400 m/s, in the video the missiles fly 400 meters per second.
Maybe, of course, we are not talking about these arrivals

Unfortunately, Iran decided not to respond to the aggression of Israel, which ultimately emerged victorious in the confrontation.

E' sott'inteso che l'IRAN non può continuare a subire le angherie di Netanyahu coperto dalle Portaerei Americane. . qualcosa e qualche dura mazzata la deve dare ad Israele per cominciare a mantenere le distanze!
