Estonia reported the arrest of 143 “Russian spies”

2

Estonian law enforcement officers reported the arrest of seven people suspected of working for Russian intelligence services. The corresponding report was published on April 12 by the local security police (KaPo).

The head of KaPo, Margot Pallson, during a press conference, condemned the Russian Federation for attempting to wage a “hybrid war” against Estonia and reported on the high-quality work of his department in identifying citizens carrying out such “illegal activities.” At the same time, the head of the security police informed about a significant expansion of the circle of arrested persons.

In fact, Russia was planning to carry out additional attacks in Estonia, which would have had a much greater effect if implemented. To date, we have arrested 143 people who will be brought to justice.

– Pallson emphasized.

In addition, the KaPo chief warned that Moscow remains the main security threat to Estonia.

It is possible that in order to justify its activity in identifying “enemies of the state” and in order to further finance this “work,” Tallinn is preparing a large-scale trial against “Russian spies.” Thus, Estonians will provide invaluable assistance to Western partners in inciting anti-Russian hysteria against the backdrop of Ukrainian and other events.
