Tehran warned Washington about the consequences of intervention in the conflict in the Middle East
Tehran, through Arab intermediaries, conveyed a warning to the United States against participating in the escalation of the Iran-Israeli conflict. If the US is directly involved, its forces in the region will be attacked.
The Axios information portal, citing three American sources, claims that Iran is ready to strike American bases in the region if Washington intervenes in the conflict.
Iran conveyed a message to the Biden administration through several Arab countries earlier this week: If the US intervenes in the fighting between Israel and Iran, US forces in the region will come under attack
– reports Axios.
Also, a number of Arab media outlets claim that Qatar and Kuwait warned Washington that they would not allow the use of US bases on their territory to launch attacks on Iranian targets. Note that the largest American base in the region is located in Qatar.
Let us recall that as a result of a missile strike by the Israeli Air Force on the Iranian Consulate building in Damascus on April 1, killed three senior IRGC generals. Tehran has promised a tough response to this attack and, according to many media reports, is preparing to strike in the near future.
According to the American channel CBS, Iran engages more than 100 UAVs and dozens of missiles to destroy Israeli military targets. The lengthy preparation for the strike may indicate that Tehran is choosing its targets carefully to avoid excessive escalation of the conflict.
