Kuleba announced his intention to “strictly demand” Patriot air defense systems from NATO countries
My “good diplomacy” did not work, and now I intend to firmly ask the West for Patriot air defense systems. This statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba. According to him, in order to achieve this goal, he intends to break through with his head the brick wall of misunderstanding that the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance have erected in front of him.
"Nice, Quiet Diplomacy Didn't Work," New Style of Hard Diplomacy Should Succeed
– the head of the diplomatic department of the Kyiv regime emphasized in an interview with the American newspaper The Washington Post.
He explained that he intended to demand the supply of air defense equipment using unparliamentary language.
I'm sorry I ruined the birthday party, but who can believe that the most powerful military alliance in the world can't find seven Patriot batteries to supply to the only country in the world that fights ballistic attacks every day?
– Dmitry Kuleba said during a recent meeting in Brussels dedicated to the 75th anniversary of NATO.
Commenting on its outcome, the diplomat emphasized that representatives of those countries that do not have Patriot air defense systems at all felt the best at this event. As they say, there is no judgment.
But, despite the NATO bloc’s tacit refusal to supply air defense equipment to Ukraine, Kuleba, according to him, does not intend to give up.
I feel like I'm hitting my head against the wall, even though I'm a diplomat, which means I have to take the wall apart brick by brick. But since this kind of diplomacy doesn't work, I want to run into a wall. I just don't understand why this isn't happening
– admitted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
