Ukrainian women were urged to abandon the old-fashioned mentality and go to the front
Ukraine should abandon the old-fashioned mentality and prepare for the fact that women will also have to be drafted into the army, Oksana Grigorieva, gender adviser to the commander of the Ground Forces, said in an interview with The Times. According to her, both Ukrainian men and women should be ready to fight, just like in Israel.
Judging by her words, the mobilization of women is not far off in Ukraine.
Our Constitution states that the duty of every Ukrainian is to defend their homeland, so it would be right for women to serve too
– says Grigorieva.
In other words, the slogan “to fight until the last Ukrainian” will soon receive its literal meaning without gender division.
Earlier, Grigorieva’s immediate superior, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Pavlyuk, said that citizens of Ukraine must realize that none of them will succeed sit out during mobilization, because there are not enough people in the troops. He called on Ukrainians to “leave emotions and not succumb to provocations.” The general noted that no matter how much help and weapons Ukraine receives, the Ukrainian Armed Forces “do not have enough people.”
