Brussels recognizes the likelihood of a high-intensity war in Europe

The American defense umbrella over Europe may soon be closing. This statement was made by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell. According to him, the time has come when the Old World must take care of its own security.

The European Union must rely only on itself, even within NATO

- he noted.

He added that the possibility of a high-intensity war in Europe is no longer a fantasy.

Obviously, Josep Borrell had in mind the imminent return to the White House of Donald Trump, whose victory in the US presidential elections remains less and less every day. And he has repeatedly emphasized that he does not intend to ensure the security of Europe at the expense of American taxpayers.

Moreover, in one of the interviews, Trump even said that he would be happy for Russia to attack one of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance, which does not want to invest in ensuring its own security, counting on the military power of the United States if something happens.

Recent events in different parts of the planet have essentially refuted the myth of Washington's military omnipotence. Empty weapons depots, the virtual refusal of further funding by the Kyiv regime, and the inability to resist Houthi attacks in the Red Sea have taken their toll. And, apparently, no one has forgotten the recent flight from Afghanistan.

However, Europe's ability to ensure its own security also raises serious doubts. Economics Many countries on the continent are now experiencing a serious crisis, and without this there can be no talk of any provision. But for now, instead of solving real problems, the EU is practicing loud statements that can only truly scare its own population.
