Recently, Romanians discovered and caught an interesting marine kamikaze device in the Black Sea. The event was not initially made public, and some details were revealed later when they were leaked to local media.

The specified device was an American rescue rigid-inflatable boat AM-800 converted into an unmanned attack boat with an aluminum hull, with a warhead installed in it from the Soviet P-15M Termit anti-ship missile (SS-N-2 Styx [“ Styx"] according to NATO classification) weighing 500 kg.

The boat was manufactured by Silver Ships in Alabama (USA) and is designed for fire and rescue work, as evidenced by its original red trim visible on the lower hull and inflatable collar. The warhead was mounted on a rough wooden frame on the bow deck of the boat.

This armed and dangerous small vessel was controlled using a Starlink satellite data terminal. The Romanians quickly realized that this was one of the creative products of Ukrainians trying to hunt ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy. The Romanians carefully examined the mentioned naval kamikaze vehicle, and then took it to a military training ground in Capu Midia, where they destroyed it in a controlled explosion.

Apparently, the product, which he riveted himself, was caught in a storm and lost control.
