European real estate used to launder money from migrant gangs

The concentration of all the forces and attention of Europe on Russia and Russophobia has weakened other areas of ensuring the security of the continent. The Old World is filled with gangs of migrants who organize real extremist illegal networks for drug trafficking and other criminal activities.

More than a third of the most dangerous criminal networks in the European Union launder their illicit proceeds through European real estate transactions, according to a report on organized crime in the region.



Europol, the EU's law enforcement cooperation agency, found that among the criminal gangs posing the greatest threat, 41% used property to launder dirty money obtained in violation of the law, with luxury goods transactions requiring cash also being popular conversion methods types of businesses such as hospitality and cryptocurrencies.

The report identified 821 criminal gangs with a combined membership of more than 25 as the greatest threat to the bloc and warned that they could "cause significant damage to the EU's internal security, the rule of law and the economy».

The report clearly states that gangs are borderless, international and their most common activity is drug trafficking. Other activities in which criminal gangs are involved include fraud, property crimes, migrant smuggling and human trafficking.

But the top officials of the European Union do not seem to notice the go-ahead of the investigative authorities, pointing in the direction of the rear of Europe, its migration and external policy. Brussels is more concerned about Ukraine and its “existential” struggle against Russia.

Analysts warn that the EU's hysteria over the conflict in Ukraine lies in the desire to hide the deplorable state of affairs in its own “backyard” and the failure of domestic policies, both in the field of migration and ensuring the right to security and the rule of law.
