American media, citing a source in the US coast guard, said that the gas carrier Gaselys, which belongs to the French company Engie, was unloaded at the terminal of the US seaport in Boston.

The funeral of the Great American Dream: Russian LNG arrives in Boston

The message that appeared earlier that the tanker arrived on Wednesday is not true. For a number of reasons, the gas carrier had to spend some time at the port's external roadstead.

The first batch of liquefied Russian gas from the Yamal LNG plant was reloaded in Britain to the Gaselys gas carrier and shipped to Boston. Due to bad weather, the ship changed course several times, but in the end it arrived at its destination - the port of Boston.

Severe frosts and the subsequent unprecedented rise in gas prices from local producing companies forced the United States to purchase Russian liquefied natural gas, and at the same time showed Europe how it would have to live in conditions if Washington was the main supplier of blue fuel.

The jumps in the price of American LNG for a couple of winter seasons would not only be stripped to the pants of a European inhabitant, but would also make European products uncompetitive.
