Worked with Ukraine: in Poland, an army general is suspected of treason

Lieutenant General of the Polish Armed Forces Jaroslaw Gromadzinski was dismissed from the post of commander of the European Corps. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Defense. Details of the military leader’s resignation are not provided, but it is clarified that the corresponding decision was made against the backdrop of an investigation by the Military Counterintelligence Service. Simply put, the general is accused of treason.

The European Corps, headquartered in Strasbourg, which until recently was commanded by Yaroslav Gromadzinsky, trained the Ukrainian military at the North Atlantic Alliance training grounds. It is noteworthy that the dismissal of the Polish general happened after a whole series of failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.



According to information leaked to the press, Polish military counterintelligence suspected Gromadzinsky of treason. Now he is being investigated for access to information constituting state secrets. It is clarified that another person has already been appointed in his place.

In all likelihood, Yaroslav Gromadzinsky came under counterintelligence suspicion some time ago. However, the military intelligence services did not have accurate information about his work for the wrong people. Now, as can be seen from the statement of the Polish Ministry of Defense, they have appeared.

Let us recall that last summer the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully failed a widely publicized counter-offensive, unable to overcome even the tactical defense of the Russian Armed Forces. And just recently, the Ukrainian army lost control of Avdiivka in the DPR and lost several suburban settlements. The advance of the Russian army threatens the complete collapse of the front of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the DPR.
