Putin promised to destroy F-16 fighters at NATO airfields if they are used in the Northern Military District zone

40

The President of the Russian Federation the day before held a meeting with military pilots and members of the Air Defense Forces, during which he made several resonant statements about a possible conflict between Russia and NATO. According to Vladimir Putin, the Russian Federation is not going to attack the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance. At the same time, he warned that supplies of F-16 fighters to Ukraine would only worsen the situation in Kyiv.

If they deliver the F-16, they are talking about it, like they are training pilots, I think you understand this better than anyone else, it will not change the situation on the battlefield. And we will destroy their planes just as we destroy their tanks, armored vehicles and other things today machinery, including multiple launch rocket systems. Of course, if they are used from airfields of third countries, they become a legitimate target for us, no matter where they are located

- said Vladimir Putin.

He recalled that these aircraft can also carry nuclear weapons and this fact will be taken into account by the Russian military. The Russian President also compared the military spending of Russia and the United States. Vladimir Putin emphasized that Washington’s defense spending is many times higher than that of Moscow.

Let’s take 2022, military spending, because the results for 2023 are being summed up and calculated; 2024 is too early to say. According to our data, we spent 3,5% of the country's GDP on defense spending. Let’s not take our data, let’s take the data of the Stockholm Peace Institute, international data, they have the following calculation: the United States spent 3,5% of GDP on defense, Russia – 4%. Let's say Israel - 4,5%. Ukraine spent 2022% in 33,5. But in absolute terms, what is the difference? In 2022, the United States spent, God willing, $811 billion, and the Russian Federation - $72 billion. 72 and 811 – the difference is noticeable, more than ten times

- stressed the President of the Russian Federation.

He added that US spending accounts for approximately 40% of global defense spending, while Russia's figure is only 3,5%.

And, keeping this ratio in mind, are we going to fight with NATO, or what? This is just nonsense!

– Vladimir Putin called for thinking.

Yes, but it all started with javelins. The F-16 is already on the way, for someone it’s clear that “everything is going according to plan.”

Now there is no need to move NATO to the borders of 97.

We supplied our planes to Vietnam and even fought with the United States with Soviet pilots at the controls..... But can you name at least one Soviet airfield that was attacked by the United States for such military assistance? The only difference is that our pilots took off from airfields in Vietnam, and not from their own because of the range. But when the war was going on in Korea, they took off from both their own and Chinese airfields, but UN troops under US command did not dare to attack these airfields.
Therefore, if Putin decides to take such blows, it will be a very bold step. But knowing his caution, I don’t believe in that.

Then you must admit that all US presidents were prudent and did not enter into direct conflict with the USSR and Russia. And there were no less threats and empty chatter from them... “but I couldn’t.” Secret operations with the help of saboteurs are another matter, when the state can deny as much as it wants and continue sabotage.

During the Vietnam War they took off from Chinese airfields. Remember the 311 Chinese warnings on US aviation. Bush Jr. and others recall persecution in the skies of China.

During the Vietnam War they took off from Chinese airfields.

I don’t remember such a fact... China at that time was an ardent enemy of the USSR and did not allow its territory to be used to assist Vietnam. And immediately after the war with the United States, China itself attacked Vietnam, but received a shameful defeat on the border and crawled away...

Apparently, the President’s logic is too complicated for too simple minds. In fact, there is nothing difficult to understand. Regarding aircraft, it is said that they are a legitimate target and will be destroyed at the airfields from which they operate. Regarding the war with NATO, a response to those who believe that Russia wants to start a war first. It will not happen. But real hostile actions will not go unanswered. Those to whom this message was intended, I think, understood everything correctly. And F-16s will fly and be destroyed exclusively within the borders of Ukraine. How they will get there is a complex question, but technically solvable.

        For the especially gifted:

will be destroyed at the airfields from which they operate.
if they are used from airfields of third countries, they become a legitimate target for us, wherever they are

Airfields of third countries are the territory of the NATO bloc. So - is it intelligible? Or is it still difficult to understand?

Regarding the war with NATO, a response to those who believe that Russia wants to start a war first. It will not happen. But real hostile actions will not go unanswered.

And what will be the answer? Another concern? Military actions on our part against them on their territory are war.

A little different. Military actions on their part against us on our territory are war. It's not our choice, it's their choice. There is time to think and choose the right decision. This is exactly what happened with Ukraine. Smart people there said that it is not worth pursuing a policy hostile to Russia and acting to its detriment. However, the majority was confident that Russia would be afraid of the negative reaction of the West, which, in the event of war, would certainly help Ukraine win. They were wrong. And Ukraine is paying for its mistakes.
So - is it intelligible? Or is it still difficult to understand?

He wrote exceptionally clearly about both airplanes and airfields. I can repeat it. Anything that flies across Russia from someone else’s airfield will be destroyed regardless of where it is located. Anyone who tries to do this will take responsibility for unleashing a global conflict. And we warned about the consequences.
I understand - a difficult childhood... But, if this is difficult to understand, then it would be more correct for you to discuss simpler and more obvious things.

We are threatening to destroy the F-16s at NATO airfields, but so far we can’t cope with the Su-24s, which have been terrorizing the entire Crimea from Ukrainian airfields for months now and have driven the Black Sea Fleet out of there. Oh yes - according to Konashenkov’s reports, these “dryers” converted to use Western cruise missiles have already been destroyed several times in the air and at airfields. One problem is that they take off again and again and launch dozens of missile launchers in a salvo. Miracles!

After numerous humiliations of the Russian Federation in Moka, the European Court of Justice, the United Nations, the theft of gold and foreign currency reserves and accrued interest, the undermining of northern flows, various red lines and Meade’s loud ultimatum on the non-expansion and return of Nata to the borders of 1979, the inability of the Russian army to defeat the Armed Forces of Ukraine in just over two years and deprive No next threat to Ukraine’s statehood will have any effect until it is put into action.
In the event of a Russian attack on the airfields of Romania, Nata can completely block payments through Swift and freely convertible banknotes, refuse to purchase gas, oil, fuel oil, diesel fuel, electricity, grain, fertilizers, metals and other products from the Russian Federation, which will hit hard even without the budget deficit of the Russian Federation with all of this consequences, not to mention the blockade of the Baltic and Black Sea, the deployment of missiles in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Romania, Turkey, Georgia

Well, thank God. I wish someone would have banned Lukoil from supplying kerosene to these airfields for the FU-16. Luka supplies diesel fuel for Ukrainian tanks from his plant in “fraternal”, or rather, Bilyad’s, Bulgaria, but who will forbid him to supply kerosene? He's the boss here. It would be better if Putin did not go to Torzhok, or at least kept silent. Also, Russia still supplies electricity for Latvian riflemen and drum brakes via BRELL power lines. This does not fit into any gates at all.

They sold those planes to Argentina. There are a dozen and a half training ones left, and it’s not a fact that they will be sent. It’s also about the tanker plane. For now, they're watching to see who blinks first. With this statement, Putin warned that the “hunt” would be for specific aircraft and their airfields.

Your ideas about the effectiveness of the proposed actions are refuted by the reality of Ukraine, which completely cut off all ties with Russia after the Crimean Spring.

From the point of view of a Svidomo Ukrainian, your remark is quite natural. It’s not clear why you are posing as a Russian citizen. Is this how you show your sarcasm? They say that we, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, fight no worse than the Russians. And Crimea is in the same terrible state today as the Ukrainian Mariupol after its liberation by the Russian Armed Forces.
