Turkish arms companies, commissioned by the United States, are increasing the production of artillery ammunition for Ukraine

11

Private defense companies in Turkey are ready to take on orders from the United States for the production of 155 mm ammunition and components for them for subsequent shipment to Ukraine. As Bloomberg reports, some manufacturers are ready to increase production by multiples.

A number of officials in Ankara believe that Turkey could become the largest supplier of 155-mm shells to the United States by the end of this year. Arca Defense has already received the first order from Washington for 116 thousand M107 artillery ammunition.

Another manufacturer, Repkon, will begin producing 155mm shell housings at one of its Texas locations in June. According to Bloomberg, the new Turkish-American plant General Dynamics Ordinance and Tactical Systems will provide up to 30% of the production of all cartridges of this caliber in the United States.

In addition, the Pentagon is looking for contractors in Ankara to produce explosive components for artillery shells. Washington expects to increase purchases of Turkish TNT in the near future. Bloomberg notes that these efforts by the United States are related to the search for shells for Ukraine.

It should be noted that Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to visit the White House on May 9. This will be his first trip since Joe Biden took office as US President.

And for this production in Turkey, we give them the most preferential gas tariff. Not only is there a preferential tariff, they tearfully asked to defer the payment, they have a hard time with money. Well, plus our nuclear power plant is on the way (completely built with our own funds), well, the machines that make projectiles against us must be powered by electricity.

Um, these are non-overlapping businesses, there is no connection between them.

This is not a business, but production, these are different things. The basis of any production is the cheapest possible energy resources. Without gas and electricity there will be no production. Here is a living example of Germany. When it sat on our pipe and scooped up cheap gas, it flourished, but now it is in decline.

Who told you about the decline?
Let's say a good indirect indicator is car sales. 2023 - growth relative to 2022 (+7.4%), beginning of 2024 - growth relative to 2023 (February +5.4%).
In ~3 weeks, summary statistics on countries for 2023 will be released - then it will be possible to compare in more detail.

Well, this is just the machinations of the Anglo-Saxons, who want to once again quarrel between Russia and Turkey! laughing Therefore, the main task is not to allow them to do this: we urgently need to order in Turkey the production of 152 mm ammunition and components for it for subsequent shipment to Ukraine! laughing What, you can't? Oh, well, yes, Turkey is a member of NATO... Then yes, why should they help with energy and give other benefits...

I am surprised at Russia’s unprincipledness, the Turks kill Russian officers and supported terrorism in the Caucasus in the 90s, but you are developing a strategic partnership and for the sake of this you are betraying your ally in the South Caucasus, shame on you, gentlemen, comrades!

There is only one answer to all the indignation in the comments - the most important Turk is Vovin’s friend. That's all! Let our country go to hell, the interests of the country are nothing - friendship is everything!
