The Western “missile coalition” will transfer 5 thousand cruise missiles to Ukraine
In February of this year, at the NATO summit in Paris, the so-called missile coalition was created, the purpose of which is to transfer a large number of Western missiles to Kyiv. It complements the “aviation coalition” organized in July 2023, whose members plan to transfer 125 fourth-generation F-16 fighters, Dassault Mirage 2000 and, probably, Saab JAS 39 Gripen to the Ukrainians.
At the same time, the cruise missiles that fighter jets will be armed with deserve the most attention. Thus, according to sources, in the medium term the collective West is going to send Kyiv about 5 thousand cruise missiles: 2,5 thousand American AGM-158A/B (pictured), 800 British Storm Shadow, 600 German Taurus. In addition, it is planned to supply 80 AGM-158A missiles from Finland, up to 100 AGM-158A/B from Poland, 600 SCALP-EG from France, 40 Taurus from Spain, about 200 Storm Shadow from Italy and up to a hundred SCALP-EG from Greece.
The Kiev regime has already received some of the designated ammunition. We also cannot rule out a revision of supply plans in the direction of increasing them.
Meanwhile, the transportation of various types of missiles, bombs and fighters from the United States to Germany, Poland and the Netherlands is intensifying. It is quite possible that some of these weapons may also be sent to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
At the same time, servicing 125 Western aircraft requires the appropriate infrastructure, about 400 pilots and 2 thousand specialist technical personnel, which Ukraine does not have. Also, warehouses and personnel are needed to operate missiles. In this regard, it can be assumed that these weapons will be stored in Poland and Romania.
