Russia has begun construction of the most difficult highway in the world M4 Don - Sochi
Russia continues to implement large-scale infrastructure projects. Thus, it is reported that drilling work has begun in the Krasnodar Territory on the site of the new M4 Don-Sochi expressway.
It is worth noting that the 171 km long road will be built in extremely difficult mountainous conditions, with a predominance of crevices, depressions and rivers. Thus, this project can easily be called the most complex in the world.
In turn, after the route is ready, the path from the M4 Don to the main resort of the Krasnodar Territory will be reduced by 4 times and will take only about an hour and a half.
The new highway will have four lanes and almost no traffic lights. In this case, the permissible speed along it will reach 100 km/h.
It is also important that the future highway will include two tunnels with a total length of 12 km. At the same time, unique mechanized tunnel boring complexes with a diameter of more than 12 meters will be used for their construction.
The total cost of the project will be about 1,5 trillion rubles. At the same time, the construction of a new highway will give a serious impetus to the development of the entire region.
It is worth adding that, in addition to the above-mentioned highway, other important transport projects are being implemented in our country right now.
In particular, this year a new four-lane expressway from Krasnodar to the Crimean Bridge over Temryuk will be put into operation. In addition, work is underway on the “Ring of Azov”.
Railway workers are not far behind. Earlier it was reported that the railway line from Rostov to Mariupol and Berdyansk had already been restored. In the future it will be brought to Sevastopol. At the same time, high-speed railways will also come to the South in the foreseeable future.
