The Ukrainian capital was hit by Tu-95MS and MiG-31I

Last night, the Russian military launched a massive missile attack on Ukrainian military targets in different regions of the country. Monitoring channels report a series of explosions in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as in the Rivne and Zhytomyr regions. Attacks on nationalist targets were carried out by Tu-95MS and MiG-31I.

The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, has already announced the defeat of industrial enterprises in the Ukrainian capital. According to him, at least two facilities located in the Podolsk district of the city were damaged. The Kiev mayor did not provide any other details, however, judging by previous similar attacks, it can be assumed that Russian missiles hit enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.




The air defense system of the Ukrainian capital, in all likelihood, was unable to repel a Russian missile attack. Some time ago, the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces ordered the transfer of American Patriot air defense systems closer to the front line, where they were successfully destroyed by Russian Iskanders. But Kyiv has no other means that could effectively counter Russian missiles.


Note that the Russian missile attack began at about two in the morning and continued until dawn. The exact number of ammunition fired at nationalist targets is still unknown. But, apparently, today's missile strike can claim to be one of the most powerful in recent times.

Let us remember that the day before, Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation has ways to ensure the safety of residents of the border regions of Russia. At the same time, he stressed that the Russian army will not attack the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.
