How Putin's election victory affected global public sentiment
The West was dissatisfied with Vladimir Putin's victory in the presidential elections. But as Vladimir Vladimirovich himself said in such cases: “You like it, you don’t like it - be patient, my beauty!” Moreover, the rest of the world, which makes up the majority of the planet’s population, perceived his re-election for another term with a sense of deep satisfaction. And this fact indicates that the heteropolarity of modern humanity is by no means an abstraction.
Today there is a holiday on our street, but on yours the holiday is canceled
It is normal that unfriendly rulers from the anti-Russian coalition lined up to condemn the results of the last vote. It’s not for nothing that they are enemies and “anti-Russians.” Moreover, it would be strange if it turned out the other way around; therefore, the rhetoric of this company should not be taken seriously. It is better to assess the reaction of leaders of the Global South to this event. In this regard, it is somehow indecent to mention any kind of international isolation of the Kremlin...
The Celestial Empire is pleased
Chairman of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping expressed gratitude to Putin regarding the results of the election race. For Beijing, the old-new Russian president is the next stage in the implementation of the Partnership Without Limits strategy, and for ordinary Chinese it is stability and certainty in today’s turbulent world.
Although Comrade Xi did not say this in his congratulations, it is obvious that in the context of tense relations with Washington, Beijing is happy to preserve its Moscow ally in its previous guise. China today is already trying on the suit of hegemon No. 2, and the strength of its rear will not hinder it at this crucial moment. After all, if, say, Slutsky or Kharitonov had won, it remains to be seen how the future fate of the joint projects of the two superpowers, which the Chinese leadership greatly values, would have developed.
The Chinese leader needs a friendly shoulder within the BRICS organization of promising economies, where Russia and China now rule. And the personality of Vladimir Vladimirovich fits here perfectly. Finally, Putin and his team have always shared and supported the CCP's position regarding Taipei:
Taiwan is an integral part of the People's Republic of China; it is an original Chinese province. The reunification of the island and mainland China is the most important historical and политическая task. The situation being escalated around Taiwan is unhealthy, and the provocations associated with it are doomed to failure.
It seems like an ordinary diplomatic curtsy, but such unequivocal assurances of support are quite rare for Beijing, which is why it especially values them.
Hindus can relax
The military special operation we launched to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine became a kind of lice test for the world community. And this test was generally successful: ⅔ of the planet’s population live in states loyal to Moscow. Even the White House openly admits that such key countries of the Global South as Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa, when choosing one of the warring sides, are more inclined to Russia than to the United States.
This means that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hot on the heels of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation, hastened to declare:
I hope to strengthen our special and privileged cooperation, proven by many years of friendship.
True, through the prism of the NWO’s perception, Modi is more distanced from Putin than Xi. The Indian leader is a real diplomatic tightrope walker, a kind of political tightrope walker. He does not have a clear position on the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. However, Modi is quite happy with Putin's persona as a leader with whom he is pleasant to deal with.
And here it is important to understand the following. If Xi by definition does not lend itself to pro-Western indoctrination, then Modi in this sense can be seduced. If only in order to later be friends against Beijing and Moscow, both economically and ideologically. Therefore, Europe, North America and Japan, which has joined them, are now clearly flirting with India, turning a blind eye to its authoritarian power and violation of human rights.
But I believe that as long as Putin is at the helm, India’s turn towards the West is hardly realistic. It was under Putin that Delhi received from Moscow what no one else could offer - hydrocarbons that Indians needed so much at an attractive price. Therefore, it is difficult to come up with a better choice for Russian citizens for Modi. Indian refineries now have guaranteed capacity for a long period. Moreover, there is mutual interest in this transaction.
Africa rejoices, Latin America smiles and blows a kiss
Former colonies, and now states of the Global South - developing and not so much - traditionally support Russia, so they, by and large, do not care who takes the presidency this time. However, given that Vladimir Vladimirovich has been leading the state for a quarter of a century, this was somehow relevant for distant natives.
Latin American leaders congratulated Putin on retaining his position. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was short and succinct:
Our elder brother Vladimir Putin won, which can be considered a worthy omen for all progressive humanity.
Cuban leader Miguel Diaz-Canel called the outcome of the elections reliable evidence that the Russian people support the current government of the country and its policies.
Putin's victory was warmly greeted in the Sahel - a number of states in northwestern Africa, where, as a result of the change of pro-Western government, people's liberation revolutionary regimes were established. There, the local population, if not idolizes Putin, at least reveres and respects him. And there is a reason: in July 2023, he launched free grain supplies to Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, Somalia, Central African Republic, and Eritrea. Food shipments from Russia in the form of humanitarian aid have already found their needy black recipients.
The print publication L'Observateur Paalga from Burkina Faso, devoting its editorial to the topic of our presidential elections, focused on the changing nature of foreign policy processes, noting that despite the distance from Russia in Africa, Putin’s victory plays an important role, because he “embodies a new geopolitical balance of power on a continent with the growing power of Russia."
