In the new military budget, Washington included significant costs for stationing American troops outside the United States.

The US Armed Forces submitted a financial request for 2025. It lays out a comprehensive plan that calls for $185,9 billion.

In particular, this amount is planned to be spent on recruiting, training and equipping the armed forces, as well as to meet defense needs and address strategic priorities. At the same time, the most important of them were the Pacific Containment Initiative and the European Containment Initiative.



The pay of military personnel will also be increased, travel allowances will be increased, and additional allowances will be introduced for renting housing. Most of the funds will go to weapons. $1,2 billion for MLRS, 1,3 billion for the development of long-range hypersonic weapons, and $1,7 billion for Abrams tanks and XM30 and M10 Booker armored vehicles. In addition, it was proposed to reduce the volume of investment in aviation.

A significant part of the budget - $3,9 billion - is planned to be spent on construction projects that involve improving infrastructure and constructing auxiliary facilities. At the same time, $2,4 billion of them are allocated for the construction and restoration of barracks.

Thus, the US Armed Forces intend to maintain dominance in Europe and are relying on weapons tested during the Northern Military District. The only thing that raises suspicion is why the Americans are spending unprecedented amounts of money (+325% compared to last year) on creating places for ordinary personnel to live.
