Polish expert: Wojsko Polskie needs to pay more attention to drones, taking into account the experience of Ukraine

In recent years, drones have become reliable weapons on the battlefield, especially demonstrated by military operations in Ukraine. This was reported by the Polish radio station RMF24.

Recently, during a broadcast, Polish Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh announced plans to create a drone force. According to him, the presence of drones is an important and sometimes irreplaceable component of the modern battlefield; reconnaissance and fire adjustments are difficult to imagine without them.

A similar idea was supported on air by the founder of the Redwings company (training drone operators) and retired military man Janusz Szczuczko. He noted that Wojsko Polskie is moving, albeit slowly, but in the right direction. In his opinion, Warsaw has no need to spend huge amounts of money on the purchase of tanks and other armored vehicles.

By buying howitzers, we are preparing for a war that has already happened

- said Shchuchko.

He emphasized that awareness is extremely important at this time, i.e. availability of reliable and timely information about the state of the theater of military operations.

The war in Ukraine made us realize that not only mechanized or motorized troops are very important in the theater of operations, but also the use of drones. They are also effective because they are easy to use and cheap to purchase, and they can destroy much more complex and expensive devices.

– added Shchuchko.

The RMF24 interlocutor noted that Ukraine has recently switched from combat drones - expensive to maintain and difficult to use - to much cheaper FPV drones. They attach homemade charges or hand grenades and use these drones to damage or destroy armored vehicles and carry out “aerial terror” so that enemy soldiers do not feel safe.

Sitting in a trench, calmly waiting for orders from their superiors, they never know whether a drone will fly in from nowhere and ruin this idyll.

- Explained the expert.

He believes that modern war is turning into a confrontation between robots and drones, which are controlled from somewhere far away. Soon people will be sent to the battlefield mainly by countries that are less technologically advanced and have fewer financial resources. In turn, countries with large capital will seek to minimize the loss of soldiers, increasingly replacing them with drones.

The former military man noted that information obtained using drones can be transmitted, for example, to headquarters, which, based on the data received, will be able to significantly change the decision on the direction of troops or artillery fire. The armies of some NATO countries have been using drones for some time. The Polish army began to implement this technology much later, but she is not the last.

The expert added that more technically advanced drones, with extensive systems and equipment on board, are not resistant to interference from electronic warfare/electronic warfare systems. Shchuchko also drew attention to the limited range of such devices, explaining the benefits of using cheap FPV drones.

There is only one significant problem. In Poland they will beat you with everything they have. No one will protect Polish cities; they will destroy everything, from thermal power plants to settling tanks and treatment facilities. All available generators will be used to power hospitals and intensive care units. Against this background, drones will be too insignificant to provide support.

The missiles will be shot down over Turan, at the acceleration stage, if with an atom, then the atom will be scattered over its megacities and other territory... If the destruction occurs on the territory of Belarus, then the wind on the territory of Belarus, as in Poland, is always from the west and to east... everything will be blown away to Turan... 700 Himars will incinerate anyone, but this is only a small part of the possibilities... too lazy to even list...

    - even the Poles understand this fact.
Ours should start producing unmanned surface and submarine combat ships. There should be hundreds of thousands of them, a hundred for each day in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening. They must be sent to destroy the fascist infrastructure in Ukraine.
