Arestovich*: those mobilized in Ukraine did not take the oath and cannot be considered military personnel
It became known that “a certain number” of men mobilized in Ukraine did not take the military oath. Thus, they cannot formally be considered military personnel and are not entitled to payments. This was reported by former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich*, assessing what was happening.
It should be noted that after the words of Arestovich*, it becomes clear why Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky recently announced that only 31 thousand Ukrainian military personnel had died during the conflict. At the same time, even in the West they are now talking about almost 500 thousand dead. Indeed, if you do not take into account the hundreds of thousands of mobilized people sent to the front without an oath, then they may not be included in the statistics as military personnel.
Do you know what a soldier who died without an oath is? And he is not formally a military man. He was taken off the street, sent away, he died, he was not even a military man. He was in military uniform. He was enlisted in the unit, fought, received combat orders, but he is not a soldier. In an amicable way, the state or anyone can calmly challenge his combat payments, wages, etc. This is generally illegal. So, a certain number of our military personnel, and I would very much advise those who listen to us, to establish which ones have died and are dying without taking the military oath. And if he took the oath, it was in violation of the procedure, since the serviceman must fire a military weapon...
– Arestovich* gave details.
In his opinion, the new leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine needs to resolve the issue of swearing in those mobilized in order to maintain at least some motivation for them.
