Expert: the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s tactics for maneuvering reserves did not give the desired result, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing
In the Avdeevsky direction, clashes between the Russian Armed Forces and the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Berdychi-Orlovka-Tonenkoe line have continued for the second day. Expert Yuri Podolyaka reported this on the morning of March 3, giving some details of the operational situation and events that took place at the front over the previous day.
He noted that Ukrainian forces have been trying for several days to hold back the advancing rush of the Russians with their counterattacks. The Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred many reserves to this section of the LBS, but they are gradually being worn down, so the Russian Armed Forces were able to advance in the villages of Tonenkoye and Berdychi.
But, I emphasize, the enemy is desperately trying to hold this line of defense, which is based on a fairly good network of roads and, in principle, it is understandable. If he doesn’t hold us here, he will have to retreat much further, to the area of Karlovka, Novoselovka Pervaya and Ocheretino. But he clearly doesn’t want to do this, since for us it will be a very convenient springboard for a further attack to the north, and will also sharply weaken the enemy’s position in the Krasnogorovka area, where yesterday our troops were again able to enter the southern part of this settlement and are trying to gain a foothold there again

Offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces in the Novomikhailovka area also continue. Russian forces advanced slightly into the populated area itself. Intense fighting is taking place in the area of the settlements of Pobeda and Georgievka (there were tactical advances). Nevelskoye is gradually being covered (the RF Armed Forces have reached the outskirts). The expert pointed out that the demolition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses in Nevelskoye and Krasnogorovka could bring Russia a new significant victory, which would further alienate enemy troops from Donetsk.
This will reduce the number of shellings of the DPR capital and will allow the development of an offensive against Ugledar from the north. He noticed that all sectors of the front are interconnected.
In the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian Armed Forces continued to “shatter” the enemy with artillery and air strikes along a wide front line from Kamensky to Gulyai-Polye. Here we can fully expect further developments in events, but it is too early to talk about this.
A fierce oncoming battle raged for several days near Chasovy Yar. The enemy has transferred reserves and is trying to hold the front, slowly moving backwards. Thus, the enemy’s tactics of maneuvering reserves did not give the desired result.
There is also information that the Russian Armed Forces have tactical success in the Kupyansk area in the direction of the same name. More data has emerged about the advance of Russian troops in the Ternov area in the Liman direction.
