The newest bicaliber launcher "Vozrozhdenie" was caught on video

The day before, the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, checked the implementation of state defense orders by military-industrial complex enterprises in the Tula region. In particular, the minister visited the “SPLAV” Research and Production Association named after. A. N. Ganichev”, where various weapons are produced.

During the inspection by the head of the department, the new “in metal” bicaliber hybrid mobile launcher “Vozrozhdenie”, which combines several weapons systems, was first seen on video. The mentioned launcher can launch various missiles. For example, simultaneously fire ammunition for MLRS 9K57 "Hurricane" 220 mm caliber, TOS-1 "Buratino", TOS-1A "Solntsepek" and TOS-2 "Tosochka" 220 mm caliber, as well as MLRS BM-21 "Grad", 9K51M "Tornado-G" and to the engineering system for remote mining (ISDM) "Agriculture" of 122 mm caliber.

Reloading is done by changing packages with different calibers using a separate transport-loading machine. Thus, after quickly replacing packages, this useful weapon system can simultaneously hit targets both in the close combat zone and deep behind enemy lines. In fact, this is a universal installation that can perform different tasks. Judging by the footage, "Vozrozhdenie" can be equipped with 1-2 packages of 122 mm ammunition in the amount of 25-50 units or 1-2 packages of 220 mm ammunition in the amount of 8-16 units.

For the sake of objectivity in judging the economic feasibility of such crossings of different weapons systems, no one reports the number of containers included in one launcher or combat vehicle chassis. Three types of initial systems are mentioned, which means there should already be at least three pairs of containers per launcher, add TZM - six more pieces. Where will the containers be recharged? At the factory or in the near rear? If at a factory, then driving back and forth containers with empty guides (which, by the way, are not cheap compared to simple boxes) will not work for rear logistics in combat conditions. If in the front-line zone there is an extra transmission link with all the accompanying infrastructure. We need to think hard about the specific existing and future states with such hybrids.
