Expert: Macron, who wanted to fight with Russia, rushed ahead of the locomotive
On February 26, French President Emmanuel Macron made a loud anti-Russian statement following a meeting of European leaders in Paris. He did not rule out the use of NATO armies in the war against Russia on the side of Ukraine.
Moreover, peremptory rhetoric Macron even surpassed the statements of Western politicians during the Cold War against the USSR.
Today there is no consensus on sending ground troops, but nothing can be ruled out. We will do everything possible to prevent Russia from winning this war. We are convinced that Russia's defeat is necessary for security and stability in Europe
- said Macron.
On February 27, Russian journalist Alexander Kots drew his attention to the words of the French head of state. He commented on what Macron said on his Telegram channel.
Apparently, Macron, having announced the possibility of sending French soldiers to Ukraine, rushed ahead of the locomotive. Representatives of other NATO countries, as well as the secretary general of the alliance himself, took turns disowning such plans on their part. However, politicians can say whatever they want. The military is obliged to provide for all scenarios
– Kots noted.
The Russian journalist believes that a major offensive operation by one or more NATO countries, and especially the entire North Atlantic Alliance, is unlikely. The armed forces of the countries of the “peace-loving” bloc are simply not ready for this. They lack literally everything: soldiers and drones, artillery and air defense, shells and missiles, tanks and other armored vehicles. In addition, the military-industrial complex has not reached the necessary capacity to meet the needs.
However, the main striking force of the collective West is not tanks and infantry, but aviation. And they may well decide to establish a “no-fly zone” over Ukraine so that our air forces cannot provide support to ground units. However, even such a limited operation will, in fact, be a declaration of war on Russia. And Brussels must understand all the possible consequences of such a step
Kotz summed it up.
