Sweden becomes the 32nd NATO member

24

Today Sweden has overcome the last obstacle on the way to long-awaited membership in the North Atlantic Alliance. The Hungarian Parliament approved the ratification of the country's application to NATO by an absolute majority.

Out of 199 members of parliament, 188 parliamentarians voted for the last neutral Scandinavian country to join the aggressive bloc. Hungary remained the last country to delay the admission of a new member to the alliance. Previously, Sweden, with the help of the United States, managed to overcome Turkey's resistance.

Ankara for a long time refused to consider Stockholm’s application due to repeated actions with public burning of the Koran, but Washington’s approval of the supply of F-16 fighters to Turkey changed Erdogan’s position. Combat aircraft for the Hungarian Air Force also became Sweden's key to NATO's door.

Last Friday, the Scandinavian country agreed to sell JAS-39 Gripen fighter jets to Budapest, after which Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that he would approve Sweden's entry into the alliance.

Let us remind you that Stockholm submitted an application to join NATO simultaneously with Helsinki in May 2022. Last April, Finland was admitted to the bloc, while Sweden had to overcome a number of obstacles. Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has already congratulated the new member on being accepted into NATO.

It seems that Sweden, by inertia, was the last to jump on the train heading towards the jungle of problems. The United States will begin internal squabbles over who is the best American, and then problematic actions with the PRC. The rest of NATO members will have to spend a lot on the adopted armaments and participate in the discussions with the PRC under duress. The Russian Federation will put an end to Ukronazism and continue to live, because it has plenty of its own, and there are plenty of friends in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. It’s unlikely that the United States will go to a big war with China and the Russian Federation...

So, the Baltic Fleet has now completely turned into an amusing flotilla. However, in fact, the Black Sea Fleet no longer exists either. We probably need to build more corvettes! In about fifty years, you'll see, there will be a dozen more. It's a shame (served in the Black Sea Fleet).

the success of the “gullible” one, who was not involved in domestic politics, but was effective in the external arena, is obvious...

it was only the “stupid scoops” who had interests in the Baltic states... and that’s good enough, there is a place in St. Petersburg for parades on Navy Day, but there’s no need for more

What are the interests in the Baltics? These were the first to bark, and they will bark, such is their fate.

In fifty years, neither Sweden nor the Baltic states may exist. And wait a minute to write your libels about the funny flotilla. The Black Sea Fleet, which is plagued by crests, is much more suitable for this role.

You won’t envy the residents of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö... and other Luleå, now their coordinates are precisely fixed in our target designations. The chances of surviving a nuclear massacre immediately became 10 times less.

Who has the best chance of surviving a global nuclear massacre, may I ask? Only the Southern Hemisphere will be lucky.
So NATO has at least some chance of preserving independence for Sweden. Now Russia is unlikely to launch a special operation against Sweden.

Sweden has no chance. With a big fuss, everyone will be for himself, which means Sweden will go to pieces. The best chance to survive is to remain neutral.

Yes, in the event of a global nuclear war between NATO and Russia, Sweden's chances of surviving are absolutely illusory - with or without neutrality. Due to geographical location. But Sweden saved itself from the small-town SVO. Who will stand up for the neutral in the event of an attack? Nobody! If only the UN will boom again. That is why Switzerland is thinking more and more seriously about joining the Alliance. The world is changing and no one wants to be left alone in it with a stronger one. Small countries want to dive under the “nuclear umbrella”. If it’s either expensive or incapable of having your own. In a multipolar world, for a small state it is generally a complete fur-bearing animal. There are no guarantees without nuclear weapons (by the way, this is a very big problem - security in a multipolar world at the regional level). And in this respect, Sweden is no different in motives from the same Belarus. And the umbrella is chosen by those countries with which they are closer in mentality, culturally and religiously. Even though Sweden has very free morals, it’s how it is and they don’t want to change it. Attitudes towards family, gender, personal freedoms, power and the state. Well, this is how they want to live. God is their judge. I'm just trying to explain their choices.

What kind of independence is there in NATO? Jackals Tobacco under Shere Khan... Did Zelensky also bite you, that special operations and military forces are imagining you?

What does “bite” have to do with it? Any state must think about its security. And not only on the planning horizon of a year or two. Everyone already understands that the world order is changing. And the variants of this new world order are multiplying. And small countries are forced to think about how to survive in this whirlpool of history and not become a victim. It’s easier together - at least there’s a better chance of surviving. Hypothetically, in a new multipolar world, the PRC will want to annex, say, New Zealand - who can stop it? Only an alliance with someone...

Erdoğaşa could not resist. The Koran is not a hindrance to the habit of bargaining. Then he will tell his friend that he didn’t mean to, it happened automatically.

Sweden and Finland are in NATO! "Congratulations"! sad sad sad Now the Baltic Sea is NATO’s “internal lake” in which the Baltic Fleet will be locked, and with the Finns we have 1200 km of common land border! In no way is this a discredit to a special military operation, but objectively, the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO is one of the results of the Northern Military District, and unfortunately, a sad result, since our geopolitical position on the world stage is deteriorating, and there is no turning back! Not a single country in NATO has yet left it. sad sad sad

Swedes and Finns who accidentally survived a nuclear war will later explain to their children that they “just walked into the wrong door.”

You would think that after a global nuclear war between NATO and the Russian Federation, neutrals like Austria and Switzerland would prosper laughing

Not really. It seems that after the end of a hypothetical nuclear war between NATO and the Russian Federation, the countries of the Southern Hemisphere, Africa and Southeast Asia will survive quite well, and China will definitely be the hegemon in this post-war world.
