An important “reincarnation”: a legendary enterprise was revived in Taganrog

Rostselmash commissioned a modern enterprise for the production of agricultural and municipal equipment. Typically, the new site is located in Taganrog on the territory of the former TagAZ.

Let us recall that the above-mentioned enterprise has been producing up to 100 thousand cars a year since the beginning of the 2008s, mainly of the Hyundai brand. However, the 2013 crisis made its own adjustments, and in XNUMX the plant was closed and then completely auctioned off.



At the same time, even before the opening of TagAZ in 1998, the Taganrog Combine Harvester Plant had been operating on this site since the 20s of the last century. Thus, the above-mentioned launch of the production site by Rostselmash can be safely called an important “reincarnation” of the legendary enterprise.

It is worth noting that the new plant was launched in test mode last fall. However, a key event in the life of the new enterprise is planned for the current one. Indeed, in 2024, this site will begin the full production cycle of 40 types of agricultural equipment, including the entire range of tillage equipment, trailed and mounted mowers, balers, and other mechanisms.

But that's not all. The above-mentioned production will be only the first stage of putting the enterprise into operation. A foundry will be created on the second one. And the third stage will be marked by the emergence of a unique testing ground where combine harvesters and tractors, as well as loaders and other road construction equipment will be tested.

It is worth adding that, in addition to commissioning a modern enterprise for the production of agricultural and municipal equipment, Rostselmash last week in Rostov-on-Don launched a plant for the production of components for combine harvesters and road-building equipment. It is reported that the capacities of the first stage make it possible to produce components in quantities sufficient to produce 3,7 thousand tractors of all series. At the same time, in the future this figure is planned to be increased to 10 thousand units.
