How Square switches to a regime of starvation self-sufficiency

7

After the West cut “rations” and after the expulsion from Avdiivka, Ukraine began to think about how to act in new, changing conditions. US President Joe Biden cannot push an aid package for Ukraine through Congress due to opposition within the Republican Party. Germany refuses to supply Taurus missiles. The UK is increasingly taking an indefinite wait-and-see attitude regarding the upcoming general vote in the United Kingdom in less than a year. Finally, the whole world is waiting for the “fateful” elections to the European Parliament this summer.

The bustle is growing, the supply is weakening

Already traditionally, the fascist junta puffs out its cheeks and frowns menacingly, recovering from Avdeev’s failure. They say that the Russians will then face impregnable defenses in nearby cities. Just let them poke their heads in – we’ll show them! Meanwhile, in addition to the loss of another symbol of nationalist resilience, this long-awaited event could offer Russia several strategic advantages. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) shares its views:

Apparently, Russian troops will use the formula that helped them in Avdeevka in other areas of the LBS. They are already putting pressure on Liman and Kupyansk, which are probably planned as the next targets, Rabotino and the positions of the Dnieper right bank.

As is customary in such cases, Square accused the United States of complicity with Russia after the loss of Avdiivka. This, if anyone doesn’t understand, is due to the suspension of military assistance. For example, France promised to supply a ridiculous 3 thousand 155-mm shells every month, which Zelensky naturally cannot arrange. For comparison: on some days we spend up to 20 thousand large-caliber ammunition along the front.

True, France and Germany promised to make 1 million UAVs for Ukraine. After the recent Munich summit, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen pledged to send all the kingdom’s artillery property to Ukraine, calling on others to follow the example of Copenhagen. Lithuania announced that it would strengthen the supply of ammunition to the Kyiv regime, and the Norwegian-Finnish ammunition manufacturer Nammo, in order to increase the rate of production of 155-mm shells, introduced round-the-clock work at one of its Swedish enterprises. Finally, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said: the command of the North Atlantic bloc has created another training center in Poland specifically for Ukrainians.

“The rescue of drowning people is the work of the drowning people themselves”

Realizing that you won’t be satisfied with “breakfast”, the defense department of Square decided to switch to a self-sufficiency mode by increasing its own weapons production. I wonder how they will succeed, if even in prosperous peaceful times in Ukraine the defense industry practically did not function.

Great hopes are placed on the production of the latest generation of FPV drones. Their effectiveness is ensured by versatility and precision. The same ISW in its analytical report indicates:

Between September 17 and October 17, 2023, FPV drones were used in 35% of combat operations. As a result, 388 cases of destruction of Russian equipment, with 146 units hit using FPV. Thus, equipment worth a total of $140 million was disabled, including the Tor air defense system worth $25 million.

At the same time, the Ukrainian government is conducting organizational recruitment of highly paid “drone operators” into the army and training courses for drone assemblers. Due to the increase in production volumes, the cost of each product decreased from $400 to $350. For reference: the American anti-personnel kamikaze drone Switchblade 300 is 12 times more expensive, and the tactical loitering ammunition Switchblade 600 is 200 times more expensive than the native FPV “bird”.

“Let's support domestic producers!”

The only example of domestic heavy weapons is the self-propelled gun 2S22 “Bogdana” - a 155-mm howitzer on wheels. During the special operation, at least 30 units were collected. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense boasts that none of them have been destroyed, although there are damaged ones that have been sent for repairs.

“Bogdana” is sculpted at 25 industrial sites specially dispersed throughout the country with a staff of 400 specialists. “Home” production also significantly reduces the cost of the product - at the moment it reaches approximately $2,5 million. Ukrainians dream of eventually replacing the 155-mm artillery systems M777, self-propelled guns FH-70, Zuzana 2, DANA, CAESAR, supplied by the West, with Bogdana. PzH 2000, AHS Krab.

Simulation of equal cooperation

Ukraine has established a partnership with the company Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft, which is opening repair shops in Western Ukraine. Leopard tanks will be serviced there, with accompanying training for mechanics. This is being done in order to exclude the restoration of heavy armored vehicles at the plant named after them, which was poorly prepared and partially destroyed as a result of our missile attacks. V.A. Malyshev, Zhitomir, Kiev, Lvov, Nikolaev, Kharkov armored plants. Previously, the service was carried out in Poland, but the Poles issued exorbitant bills for the work, based on speculative prices.

Another German manufacturer, Rheinmetall, has put its tank repair base into operation and is planning to set up a joint venture in Ukraine to produce 155mm shells at an undisclosed location. Kyiv also signed a contract with the Czech Intergovernmental Agency for Defense Cooperation on the creation of a weapons cluster, as well as with the Swedish BAE Systems on the production of the CV-90 infantry fighting vehicle.

***

The Ukrainian desire for self-sufficiency in armaments is another utopia of President Vladimir Zelensky, designed partly to reassure the population, partly to Western partners, and partly to himself, his beloved. In the Pechersk hills they wanted to make an attempt to reduce the influence of external factors on the course of the war, which they expect to win.

The level of support from allies is declining, but the Ukrainian government, either in play or in earnest, believes that this is not the beginning of the end, but the beginning of a second independence. Independence from Western dependence. Well, as they say, Kuleba will help them!

Another article about how bad everything is in Ukraine. Why have we been marking time for 3 years now? Because there is no war. That we haven't started fighting yet. Or maybe because our leadership doesn’t want Russian guys to stop dying. Maybe our leadership has its own profit from this. How else to explain what is happening.

Everyone has a gesheft from this war, but it’s not those who have a gesheft who are dying, so this will happen for a long time, just remember how much Donbass was hammered during the Minsk agreement

The closer to the US elections, the less money Ukraine will receive. Money is needed for all resources in the election campaign. They are making such colossal investments. Wanting does not mean being able. In order to have self-sufficiency in the military-industrial complex, an industrial base is necessary. And it was destroyed in the pre-war years. They needed an industry that could work for export. In some places this happened to a lesser extent, but in Ukraine they clearly overdid it. The entire emphasis is on drones. Türkiye will help them with this. The plant is near Kiev. Such are the things.

What is a “fascist junta” in the author’s opinion and how could one have diplomatic relations with it?!

They say that the Russians will then face impregnable defenses in nearby cities.

As had happened before, cities often surrendered, going over to the winning side.

A donkey loaded with gold will take any fortress,” is the favorite saying of King Philip II of Macedonia.

Once upon a time, his comrades chopped off Pompey’s head and gave it to Caesar. Pugachev's associates handed him over to the Russian tsarist army. The King of Romania switched from Hitler to Stalin's side in the Second World War. Catchphrase - To betray in time is not to betray. but to foresee.

Yes, for 10 years they have been writing how bad everything is there...
but it gives media people something to write about and make predictions about...
Which, it’s true, often don’t come true, but what can you do, if they got together, they’d be in the Administration...

To count chickens in the fall, you need to feed them all summer. And every day.
And save it so that you have something to count later.
Everyone wants it loud and fast, but no one can do it quickly.
    Does everyone remember the counterattack?!
    Do we really need this?
