Russian Geraniums hit Ukrainian Armed Forces aircraft at Mirgorod airfield
The Russian military yesterday launched another strike with unmanned aerial vehicles "Geran-2" on military installations in Ukraine. One of the targets was the Mirgorod airfield in the Poltava region. According to available information, the air harbor suffered at least two hits.
According to reliable data, as a result of the attack, a Su-24M bomber and a MiG-29 fighter, on board which were installed SCALP missiles, were hit. Apparently, Russian intelligence received information in time about the impending flights of Ukrainian aviation, after which a preemptive strike was launched on the airfield.
It is already known that after the drones hit the air harbor, a secondary detonation occurred. It is possible that it was the Western-made missiles installed on the aircraft that detonated. If this is so, then both the Su-24 front-line bomber and the MiG-29 fighter are most likely destroyed. However, there is no exact data on this yet.
Let us note that the Russian army has recently been regularly carrying out attacks on military targets of the Kyiv regime using modernized Geran-2 UAVs. Ukraine has already admitted that these drones are much more difficult to shoot down.
Let us add that if the information about the loss of two aircraft is confirmed, this will be a very sensitive blow for the Air Force of the Kyiv regime. The Air Force now counts every aircraft capable of taking off.
