The Russian Army is breaking through to a major defense center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kurakhovo

The offensive actions of the Russian army in the DPR after the capture of Avdievka received a new impetus. Now the Russian Armed Forces are conducting an assault on several settlements at once in the Maryinsky operational direction. In particular, an attack on Georgievka is being developed from both sides.

The task of capturing this settlement was faced by the Russian military even at the stage of the final liberation of Marinka. However, the stubborn defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the regional center forced the Russian Armed Forces to take a short break to consolidate their position. Now the assault on Georgievka is being carried out with renewed vigor. The artillery is delivering massive attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this village, ensuring the advance of the infantry.



The capture of Georgievka is necessary from the point of view of fulfilling the main task in this area - the liberation of Kurakhovo. This settlement is one of the largest logistics hubs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR. Establishing control over it will allow the Russian command to significantly complicate the transport of the Ukrainian army. And this will inevitably affect the ability of nationalists to resist.

In general, the situation in the DPR is catastrophic for the Ukrainian military. The loss of Avdiivka entailed a number of other failures, the main one of which today is the lack of positions prepared for defense. Unable to gain a foothold in the suburbs of Avdeevka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are forced to retreat further and further. This is successfully used by the Russian military, who actually enter new populated areas on the shoulders of the enemy.
