The West records a large concentration of Russian troops in Zaporozhye

Russia is gathering a huge number of troops at the Zaporozhye Front. This was reported by the American television channel CNN. According to the publication, a large group of the Russian Armed Forces is concentrating in the same places where the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to launch a counteroffensive last summer. Western military analysts claim that the number of Russian troops in Zaporozhye has already reached 50 thousand people.

Actually, there is nothing surprising in this information. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are now in the deepest crisis, which means that the time has come for the Russian army to regain the boundaries lost during the summer campaign.

However, the real problem for the Ukrainian military command is that large groupings of the Russian Armed Forces are also concentrating on other areas of the Northern Military District. And where the main blow will ultimately be struck, the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces does not know.


The attention of the Western press to the Zaporozhye region is associated with the beginning of active operations by Russian motorized riflemen and paratroopers in the areas of the villages of Rabotino and Verbovoye. A few days ago, the 42nd motorized rifle and 76th air assault divisions of the Russian Armed Forces went on the offensive and in a short period of time managed to penetrate the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

However, Russian military experts are in no hurry to call these actions a major offensive operation. It is possible that the main blow of the Russian Armed Forces will be delivered in a completely different place.
