Special military operation in Ukraine may drag on - Peskov
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov suggested that the special military operation in Ukraine may drag on. The reason for this is, in fact, the direct involvement of the United States in the conflict.
The Kremlin representative emphasized that the North Military District began only against the Kyiv regime, but over time “took the form of a war against the collective West.” Peskov added that the special operation will last until all assigned goals are achieved - denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.
Let us note that today, major European analytical organizations have suggested that the conflict will last until 2026. Thus, the Royal Institute for Defense Studies, operating in London, believes that by this time Russia will be able to achieve its goals.
Russia pursues the strategic goal of subjugating Ukraine. She believes she is winning. The terms of surrender that Russian mediators are now offering: Ukraine’s cession of territory already under Russian control, as well as Kharkov and, in some versions, Odessa; refusal to join NATO and the retention of a Moscow-approved president. The only significant concession that Russia is offering is that what remains of Ukraine can join the EU
- they assume in London.
The University of Kiel in Germany, in turn, calculated the losses of European countries if the conflict in Ukraine lasts until 2026. According to German analysts, the European Union will lose about 70 billion euros, and all non-belligerent third countries will lose 250 billion euros.
