Could Ukrainian BEC attacks move from the Black Sea to the Baltic Sea?

46

The SVO in Ukraine has been going on for almost two years. During this time, the Russian ground army has gone through a difficult path of becoming from a conditionally “ceremonial” army into a real combat one, and is now successfully pushing back the numerically superior Ukrainian army. Unfortunately, this cannot yet be said about our Black Sea Fleet.

BDK "Caesar Kunikov"

Frankly, having seen in the morning headlines News reports that Ukrainian terrorists allegedly attacked a large landing ship of the Russian Navy, at first it was thought that this was a random repetition of some old one. Already involuntarily you begin to get confused in these ill-fated large landing ships. After all, at least some organizational conclusions should be drawn from losses, right?

But no, first Ukrainian resources posted the corresponding video of the naval drone attack on the Caesar Kunikov. Press Secretary of the Russian President Peskov redirected concerned journalists to the Russian Ministry of Defense for comments. And then about this Wrote already such pillars of the Runet as the popular Crimean blogger and regular on federal TV channels Boris Rozhin, expert Yuri Podolyaka and others. In Boris Rozhin’s interpretation, the tragic events looked like this:

At night, the Black Sea Fleet lost the large landing craft Caesar Kunikov. If they coped with the air attack (6 drones were shot down in the Crimea region), then they again couldn’t cope with the sea drones. The enemy has already posted a confirming video.

Note that there is no official confirmation of the loss of the large landing craft from the Russian Ministry of Defense. According to publicly available Videos, the action took place at night. Here I would like quote specialized Telegram channel “Russian Engineer”, which covers issues of a military-technical nature:

Firstly, judging by the video, the landing craft was motionless. Secondly, in the BEC thermal imager you can see people standing calmly on the bridge and deck, which means they didn’t see him. Thirdly, the attack was again not carried out by just one device. Fourthly, the approach speed of the BEC was low, offhand no more than 10 knots. A number of conclusions follow from this.

The low speed of the BEC is needed for stealth. Obviously, there was not a single thermal imager or night vision device on the bridge, or they were not used. The attack took place at night, with the expectation that the approach of the BEC at low speed would not be detected by the crew.

Another important conclusion is that the targeting of Ukrainian naval drones to the Russian BDK could only be carried out with the help of external sources due to the extremely limited radius of independent target detection, due to the low location of the video camera.

In other words, in the realities of the Northern Military District, this could only be done by the American unmanned reconnaissance aircraft RQ-4 Global Hawk, whose visit to the Black Sea, as a rule, precedes terrorist attacks by Ukraine. And this is very important political signal.

What will happen next?

Of course, I would like to get an answer to the question, what exactly was the motionless and almost unarmed large landing ship, essentially an ordinary barge for transportation, doing? equipment and Marine Corps, near the coast of Crimea, where Ukrainian attack drones, air and sea, have become frequent and uninvited guests. But it would be right for the Black Sea Fleet command to be asked not by journalists, but by people in appropriate uniform.

What's interesting here is this. Just a few days ago, President Putin gave a resonant interview to American television journalist Tucker Carlson, in which he explained the reasons that prompted him to start the NWO in Ukraine, called on the collective West and Kyiv for negotiations, and also outlined some contours of a possible peace agreement, citing Istanbul as an example. Shortly after this, Mr. Carlson, speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai, told how he, an American Republican to the core, accepted the message of our Vladimir Vladimirovich:

The very work of the leaders of any country on this planet, except, perhaps, the United States during the period of a unipolar world, forces them to find a compromise. This is what is called diplomacy. And Putin is among them [leaders ready to seek a compromise]. <...> First of all, Putin wants to get out of this war.

“Getting out of the war” is, of course, good, but “entry into it costs a conventional ruble, and exit costs a hundred.” In the absence of a military defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the capitulation of the Zelensky regime, the entire Russia bordering the Independent, as well as the Black Sea, has in fact turned into something like a “Greater Donbass,” and the depth and strength of Ukrainian terrorist attacks are only growing. With another blow to yet another Russian warship, possible “partners in the negotiation process” showed that they are not very interested in this, since everything is working out like this so far.

In this regard, it is of deep concern that the geography of Ukrainian terrorist attacks may in the foreseeable future move from the Black Sea to the Baltic Sea, where risks of being involved in a conflict Eastern European partners in the NATO bloc - the Baltic states and Poland. I would like to believe that the command of the DKBF is aware of these threats and is taking measures in advance to prevent losses in warships.

The only negotiations are a discussion of the nuances of the capitulation of Ukraine with the subsequent billing for Russophobia and nationalism. And the alienation of Ukrainian territories in favor of Russia, those that were created by the Russian Empire or transferred by Soviet leaders.

Actually, to do this you first need to defeat Ukraine. In the meantime, we are fighting our heads to defend Ukraine.

Just as the Ukrainian bridges in Western Ukraine near the borders will be dismantled, peace negotiations will begin immediately. But for now this is probably not part of the plans.

From the first days of the North Military District, Putin began shouting about negotiations. Why did he start the war? It seems that he cannot calculate his actions even one step ahead. And seeing his absolute inability to organize the country for war. They will continue to press harder and harder. And we will hear about the next red lines. Regarding the Istanbul agreements, if you believe Ukrainian sources, it was practically a surrender of Russia. With payment of indemnity to Ukraine. The text was not provided from the Russian side. From which it follows that the Ukrainian version is correct.

    As stated,

    hit the decision-making centers.

The Black Sea Navy is being sunk by the efforts of the British, which means that the decision-making centers are there. So it's time to think about how to hit this decision-making center. There are many opportunities, but our main ones do not have the will to influence and win. Then the next question is, who are the main ones - a builder, a rescuer on occasion, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation S. Shoigu on occasion... According to the article, if there is no meaningful answer, then they will beat in the Sea of Okhotsk.

The Black Sea Fleet is being sunk because the people in charge don’t think about how to solve this problem. Perhaps it only works when there is no other way out. In other cases, it is a reluctance to think and look for a way out of the current situation. What did the naval commanders do? Have you increased the number of watch observers? Were they armed with thermal imagers? NVGs? Have you installed machine guns? ATGMs? Did you do anything else? Maybe they hung a UAV with optics for surveillance in a given area? Well, the result, as they say, is obvious!!! Or on the face. He gave many years to the fleet and is very bitter and painful for the sailors. Because they are dying in vain!

Do you really believe that these thermal imagers, NVGs, and UAVs are stored somewhere in warehouses, and only the negligence of “naval commanders” prevents their implementation on ships?

There is already an article on TOPVAR that the “great minds” from the Ministry of Defense have already developed a program to combat BECs. I can’t imagine anything more crazy than this program. - based on a tandem of two helicopters = KA-25 detects and aims at BECs another helicopter-KA- 29. Which destroys the BECs. And what if the KA-29 does not have time to take off, or the KA-25 does not detect the BECs?

Now it is already difficult to take the initiative into your own hands. No matter what anyone says, all our troubles come from the 90s. What Lithuania did with the routes to Kaliningrad did not interest us at all at that time. We had to line our pockets by trading everything that could be sold. In the Black Sea, foreign ships stood waiting to load our weapons. The Far East lost its aircraft carrier, ships and civilian fleet. Aviation was sold wholesale and retail. We asked to join NATO, but they politely showed us the door. They said, “We didn’t invite you.” We wanted to be in the wake of Western politics. And the West treated us accordingly. And now we shout, “How did this happen.” And we just blame everything on the Soviet Union.

Could Ukrainian BEC attacks move from the Black Sea to the Baltic Sea?

Not only can they, but they will definitely move. Ukraine has plenty of allies for this in the Baltic.
As the practice of the war on the Black Sea shows, today there is nothing more promising for fighting warships than BECs.
It is impossible to detect the starting point, which means it is impossible to make claims to any country.
But what a military, economic and political effect.
So, there is no doubt about the use of Ukrainian BECs in the Baltic.
The only question is - when?!
But in any case, we will again be unprepared for this.

We have already lost several ships, and there is still no reaction, maybe it’s time to urgently pay close attention to this and finally draw all the necessary conclusions, directly connecting our military-industrial complex to a quick and effective solution to this problem, and for greater effect it is necessary to change The leadership of the Black Sea Fleet does not seem to care much about these problems.

In the modern Russian Federation, anything can happen, for example, PMCs prohibited by law are paid for through the government. Or declare the people a foreign agent, for example, a Russian one. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they're already there.

Well,” the Russian Army has never been a “ceremonial” army.
“The conventionally “ceremonial” Army could not, in fact, with an “instant” throw, come close to Kyiv...
There is no need to ripple “deepening the colors” - it’s too much to carry lies against Our Valiant Armed Forces of the Russian Federation!..
    No need. NOT NICE.

There were, are and will be, of course, serious shortcomings in the RF Armed Forces themselves... But they are getting rid of them (Quite, often, promptly!) and will continue to get rid of them.

Another thing is that..., miscellaneous - completely incompetent big-time political rabble and traitors of the fifth corrupt oligarchic column - DO NOT ALLOW the army to fight at full strength... this, indeed, is a serious problem...

As for the start of a database against our Navy in the Baltic, it will happen. There is no need to have any illusions. Moreover, there have already been attacks on our targets on the Baltic coast by enemy UAVs.

The concept of wolf packs and mosquito fleets was announced by Ukraine 10 years ago. Today, attacks by swarms of drones are in real demand, it should be noted, and brought to a certain perfection. Great Britain and NATO are undoubtedly behind this. The Black Sea is a training ground for training swarms of sea drones. And this experience will undoubtedly be extended to the maritime states of NATO and Japan. So, the entire Northern, Baltic and Pacific fleet will be in the danger zone tomorrow. Most likely, the next stage will be submersible drones against our submarines and the destruction of sea ports. We don’t know how our Navy is preparing for this. But, according to the statistics of lost ships, no breakthroughs are seen. Our General Staff is working more on aerial drones, but whether they have enough capabilities to cover maritime topics is the key question.

The problem is no longer such that the attacks of the Ukrainian BEC can move to the Baltic.
And the fact is that by fighting on an equal footing with Ukraine for 2 years, we, with our weakness and indecision, encourage NATO to fight with us. This is how the Soviet-Finnish war prompted the Germans to attack the USSR.
