In Ukraine they don’t know what to do with the 30-km “Tsar Train” between Mariupol and Donetsk

The Russian Armed Forces have created a unique defense line in Donbass, which is an extended train consisting of 2100 cars of various types. According to pro-Ukrainian media, the “Tsar Train” began to be created in July 2023.

Its length is about 30 km. The train starts at the station near Elenovka and ends near Volnovakha. That is, in fact, the train is located between Mariupol and Donetsk. It is possible that it includes firing points - therefore, it can cover a considerable area.

In Ukraine they don’t know what to do with the 30-km “Tsar Train” between Mariupol and Donetsk

In Ukraine they believe that it is very difficult to break through this massive “centipede”. Moreover, without creating a certain “corridor” in a fixed structure, further advancement of the combat equipment APU is impossible in this place. In general, the Ukrainian side does not yet know what to do with such an obstacle.

Apparently, the “Tsar Train” is capable of becoming a reliable obstacle for Ukrainian troops, preventing a successful breakthrough. However, it is still difficult to assess the effectiveness of such a line of defense. Time will tell its usefulness for protecting the borders of the Russian Armed Forces.

Meanwhile, a number of Ukrainian sources do not rule out another purpose for the extended combat train, without going into details.

It’s a good barrier, and it’s important that it’s movable.

If Volnovakha and Mariupol are covered by air defense from the S-300, then good. Go around it or go around it. Mobile caponier.

Eh... a train, in the rear, immeasurably long, stands for six months, the king of trains...
    like, defense?
    1) victory
    2) rusts
    3) all the “kings” were useless - the “king” cannon/bell/plane/tank/bomb/etc.
    4) conclusion: media sabotage

and what for to do something?

Well, I don’t know... A stationary target, on a hill (railway on an embankment), i.e. tanks can work on it from a maximum distance...
As for mobility, blowing up the rails is a piece of cake. All European countries have experience working against armored trains

You don’t understand - if the Tsar Train is standing, this does not mean that it is not being defended. Even if the rails are blown up (in one place), then a gap can form - only in this one place (or maybe not, since ALL the trains will fall, including those nearby too).

It is enough to take up defensive positions/mines - only where there is a gap, in another place - the tanks will no longer get through. Not to mention the BMP/AFV.
Installing anti-tank hedgehogs in the gap will also help.

        - bravo! The Tsar Train is a movable wall - if you load it with scrap metal, construction waste and something else like that, it will become an insurmountable movable wall, and let the crests shoot it as much as they want, it’s like a poultice for the dead! - and in order to overcome this wall, all your equipment needs to do is uncouple the cars, let vehicles or armored vehicles through, and then couple the cars again. And shooting cars loaded with scrap metal is insanity.

No, due to its large length, it cannot be moved. By the way, Strelkov also used this method of defense by welding train wheels to the rails. Therefore, the wheels of the outer cars (at the ends) are blocked.

The meaning of the king of the train is EXACTLY an OBSTACLE in the path of armored vehicles, the same meaning as the “teeth of the dragon” in the defense of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Well, you're an expert right there. What mobility is this, it’s not an armored train, but 30 km of cars coupled together.
And the experience against armored trains from a hundred years ago, right? That means he’s gone, everyone who had him has already died.

I think its task is to limit the mobility of enemy vehicles. You'd have to be completely crazy to cut supply routes through this barrier.

The average length of a car is 15 meters. This means the total length of the train is more than 30-32 km.

Are the carriages empty or filled with something like sand?

    You did not understand

You didn’t understand - blow up the rails so that you don’t ride back and forth, and not for something else.
The second is to bomb a carriage standing on a hill, but our rails are all on an embankment, i.e. on high ground, much easier than hitting a bunker.
The target is high, motionless - I don’t want to shoot. Where will you put the soldiers? In the carriage? So you can even shoot him with a Kalash, not to mention more powerful weapons. Tanks will hit with a canopy, without even approaching - and hit.
The only thing for which it is convenient to use this train is that it is only an obstacle for the passage of equipment and that’s all. But a very expensive obstacle, because... a carriage costs much more than a simple concrete barrier of similar strength.

For technology this is not an obstacle at all. For cavalry and war chariots everything went well

Why blow up your own railway? There are plenty of other ways, for example:
Place brake pads at the ends of the train. Until the outer carriages move, the train will not be able to go ANYWHERE: since the neighboring carriages are in the way.

AGAIN: its meaning is to prevent any vehicle from passing there. And on foot (through it) - how far can you walk?

Did I miss something? Are there any plans to allow the enemy to break through to such a depth?

Blocking passage (even for a tank, even for a car). For a sabotage group, you can only cross it on foot, carrying all the equipment on yourself. But no one will rush away - while they (many kilometers) are coming to our rear - they will catch up in a car and destroy.

Hunchback (with a corrupt elite) - replaced almost the entire apparatus of the CPSU, which is why he managed to destroy the country.

They will have to break through first beyond the Dnieper, and then into the Carpathian region. A flag in their hands and a drum around their neck.
