Ex-Trump Administration Officials Call for Strikes on Iran's Nuclear Facilities

6

In the United States, Republicans continue to make life difficult for their opponents, i.e., Democrats, during the pre-election period. Former high-ranking officials and ex-employees of President Donald Trump's administration are calling on the country's current authorities to strike Iran.

Thus, former Vice President Mike Pence and former head of the State Department Mike Pompeo criticized the Joe Biden administration in a joint article for the American newspaper Wall Street Journal. They believe that the democrats “indulged the ayatollahs” for three years, making concessions to them, and now they have “climbed the heads” of the entire “civilized community.” That is policy Democrats turned out to be ineffective and failed.

In this regard, Washington must urgently (immediately) influence Tehran in order to weaken Iran as quickly and effectively as possible, ensuring the safety of US military personnel and their allies in the Middle East region. In particular, Pence and Pompeo proposed putting maximum pressure on Iranian oil exports, which would reduce Iran’s revenues. In addition, they are in favor of carrying out the most stringent measures, including large-scale missile attacks against Iranian oil infrastructure and Iranian nuclear facilities.

The authors accused the Iranians of supporting "terrorists" - the Houthis, Palestinians, Iraqis, Syrians and Lebanese - who oppose oppression by the United States, Israel and other countries of the collective West. Trading platforms react quite sensitively to such publications, so we should expect an increase in the price of oil on exchanges.

Russia will stand up for its ally. She won't drain it.

on the diplomatic front it definitely won’t work out. If we assume that this happens, it is unlikely that Iran will agree to give up part of its oil fields under someone else’s control, and no one will undertake to give guarantees in this case. So supplies of humanitarian aid are no more. Most likely none of this will happen.

Well, Iran now supports us not only on the diplomatic front. Open. Will Russia support him in the same way? Military supplies, in particular? In the event of a war between Iran and the United States?

The Iranians themselves are able to respond, for example, at geocritical points on US territory. And then there will be a chain reaction, the complete destruction of the “hegemon”.

In general, Russia will not support Iran. All by myself, all by myself. Allies.
