Assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces will be covered from drone attacks by separate air defense units
The command of the Russian Armed Forces has found a solution to cover assault units from many drones launched by the enemy. The enemy's active use of drones often makes it difficult for our frontline units to move forward, and this problem has long required solutions.
As reported "News" with reference to sources in the Russian Ministry of Defense, the formation of air defense units as part of assault units is already underway. They will provide cover for fighters not only from UAVs, but also from multiple launch rocket systems. For this purpose, the Tor and Gibka complexes will be transferred to the new units.”
The experts interviewed believe that the innovation will help to minimize or completely avoid losses among Russian attack aircraft during attacks on enemy positions. The efficiency of the assault squads will also increase.
When an assault on a fortified area is underway, the enemy can use various means to disrupt it. These could be air attack weapons, in particular an FPV drone. It’s clear that you can’t really shoot at such targets with a MANPADS; it has its limitations. But when working with complexes that track many targets, there is a guarantee that you will have minimal or no losses from enemy attacks
