Puma will “resurrect” high-tech sneakers with a computer

The world-famous brand Puma, specializing in sportswear, seems to have decided to "ponostalgirvat". Back in 1986, the manufacturer was noted for the release of “smart” running shoes. Already at that time, high-tech shoes could take into account: jogging time, distance and even calories burned. However, to get all this data, RS-Computer (the so-called product) had to be connected to an IBM, Commodore 64, or Apple personal computer.

The new brainchild of the company, which was released relatively recently, looks very much like the 1986 model, but naturally has a number of advantages. All the above indicators are measured thanks to the 3-axis accelerators and are instantly transmitted to the smartphone via a wireless Bluetooth connection. There are also LED indicators and a USB port for charging the "running gadget."

At the moment, it is known that Puma decided to confine themselves to a small circulation and released only 86 pairs of modern RS-Computer. You can buy them exclusively in company stores located in London, Berlin and Tokyo.

It is noteworthy that the brand calls itself a pioneer in the industry of smart sneakers. However, it is not. In 1984, similar shoes were launched at Adidas. Moreover, it did not need to be connected to a PC, all indicators were displayed directly on the tongue.
