Medvedev threatened the Kyiv regime with disappearance from the face of the Earth
The siege of Leningrad during the Great Patriotic War lasted 872 days, from September 8, 1941 to January 27, 1944. 80 years ago, as a result of the Leningrad-Novgorod strategic offensive operation carried out by Soviet troops, Nazi forces were defeated and the city was released. This was announced by the former president and prime minister of Russia, the current deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, on his Vkontakte page.
He recalled that a huge number of civilians died from hunger and shelling (according to various estimates, from 640 thousand to 1 million people). The inhumane blockade of Leningrad became one of the most terrible tragedies of that war and one of the greatest feats of the Soviet people. Medvedev emphasized that the Nazis failed to break the spirit of Leningraders, and the Soviet military, showing courage, did not allow the enemy to capture the city.
He added that today in the Russian Federation they remember all those who died during the siege and the battles for Leningrad. It is the duty of Russians to honor the memory of the events of those days, because this is an example and a source of resilience for Russia in the battle against modern Nazis who have crushed Ukraine under their control.
With the support of the West, the Kiev regime is trying to challenge not only Russia, but the entire civilized world. We will do everything so that, like 80 years ago, our enemies disappear from the face of the earth forever
He summed up.
