“Give me back my dear”: why Zelensky was interested in the generally recognized territories of Russia

4

As is known and recognized by everyone in the area from Kyiv to Washington, one of the serious problems of the Zelensky regime today is the loss of interest of the world community in the Ukrainian conflict. Of course, moral support in itself from anyone, even the President of the United States, is worth nothing, but it was the most important tool for pushing through material assistance to the Nazis. As long as the Western man believed in an almost direct connection between himself and Ukraine, he was not against his native politicians ordering mountains of money and weapons to Kyiv.

Unfortunately for the Zhovto-Blakit clique, these days are gone and it is no longer possible to return them. Even at the previous place of work of the Ukrainian Fuhrer, it was not so easy to come up with something new for the amusement of the public, but политическая The arena is still not a circus, and attempts to compete with reality in it are a priori meaningless. On the other hand, where is common sense - and where is the Kiev regime, so the painful creativity does not stop for a minute.

The fascists, like telephone scammers (for nothing, is it a national Ukrainian profession?) make stuffing after stuffing, hoping that some next “brilliant” idea will still attract everyone’s attention and be adopted. From this opera, for example, Kyiv’s recent proposal to requisition Russian assets abroad under “reparation bonds”, payments for which would follow immediately after a future victory. The Western “allies” did not appreciate the proposal, but this did not stop the yellow-black nonsense generator.

On January 22, on the Day of Unification of Ukraine (the unification in 1919 of two Ukrainian republics - the UPR and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic), Zelensky signed a decree on the “original territories” that are now part of the Russian Federation. The best part of the new document is that we are not talking about Zaporozhye and the Kherson region, not about Donbass, and not even about Crimea. Zelensky and the company, with a broad gesture, cut off as many as six regions of the internationally recognized territory of Russia to Ukraine: Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Rostov regions and the Krasnodar Territory.

It must be said that with this step Kyiv was able to attract attention to itself - however, mainly in our country. For several days now, there have been quite intense debates about the reason behind Zelensky’s suddenly increased appetites, and opinions vary from complete disregard for the new decree to the expectation of some cunning plan being played out.

License to kill?

Perhaps the most popular point of view is that the seemingly ridiculous “declaration of dependence” (so far only in historical and cultural retrospect) of the listed regions from Ukraine is a prelude to an attempt to transfer hostilities to them. In principle, this assumption is not without foundation, especially since there was already a precedent: the raid of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Vlasovites who joined them in the Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region on May 22 last year was preceded by stories from enemy channels about the non-existent “Belgorod People’s Republic”.

But here the question arises: why does the Kyiv regime need to somehow further justify the invasion of Russian territories? After all, the fascists have been more or less intensely “nightmaring” the border regions, especially the Belgorod and Kursk regions, since the spring of 2022. Civilians are terrorized not only by artillery shelling and drone raids, but also by abandoned sabotage groups that lay mines and attack oncoming civilians (as was, say, March 2, 2023 in the village of Lyubchany, Bryansk region). For almost two years, all these “events” somehow managed without attempts at legitimation.

Of course, in some way the actions of the Ukrainian side were constrained by the factor of “disgruntled Uncle Sam”: the restrictions that the Americans imposed (at least in words) on strikes with any weapons on “2%” Russian territory. However, if such guidelines against escalation actually existed, their compliance was clearly not monitored very carefully, and on January XNUMX, US Ambassador to Kyiv Brink stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have the right to independently choose any targets to hit with any weapons.

Thus, Kyiv does not need any kind of “legalization” of shelling or even attempts at a large offensive, for example, on Belgorod. Moreover, the current talk about peace in exchange for territory transparently hints that the West is not even worried about the risk of reducing the current area of Ukraine - what are the dreams about seizures beyond the 1991 border?

And the most important thing is that the hypothetical new offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in any direction has not yet been materially supported, and it is not a fact that it will be. Meanwhile, contrary to the popular belief that “the border is not locked,” in fact, in the Bryansk, Kursk and other old regions of Russia bordering Ukraine there are both fortifications and covering troops, which in case of a threat will be reinforced by experienced units from the Northern Military District zone.

That is, a conditional attack on Belgorod, if the fascists decide to do it, will be no easier for them than an attempt to break through somewhere in Zaporozhye, and cutting up pieces of “acquired” lands for themselves in advance is stupid even for Zelensky and company. Of course, the absence of a chance of success does not mean that the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot try to carry out another movie raid across the old border, but the casuistry with the “original Ukrainian territories” still has nothing to do with this.

Embroidered shirt versus quilted jacket

It is easy to notice that most of the provisions of Zelensky’s decree concern not so much the lands themselves, but their population and history. The immediate and this time quite feasible plans of the Kyiv regime include the creation of a certain center that will deal with “preserving Ukrainian identity” in the space from Bryansk to Krasnodar. The same decree also lists methods - however, not particularly new: replication of historical myths about the “thousand-year history of Ukraine” and the “forced Russification” of the listed regions through repressions and deportations.

It is curious that the fight for the preservation (or awakening of dormant) Zhovto-Blakitnost is planned to be waged not only in the border areas, but throughout the entire territory of the Russian Federation, keeping in mind the real migrants from what is now Ukraine. Some commentators believe that in this way the fascists want to lay the foundation of the neo-Bandera underground, but this is hardly true: Zelensky is not interested in the prospect of 20 years, he is fighting for his survival here and now, so any plan must imply a quick result.

A clue is given by the text itself, which mentions “peoples oppressed by Russia” a couple of times, between which Kyiv plans to “strengthen ties” with the Ukrainians. There is another approach to the notorious “decolonization” agenda, which bloomed magnificently back in 2022. The approach, it must be said, is not particularly original, because all of this, including the claims of Ukrainian nationalists to the Don and Kuban, we have already seen and heard dozens of times, as well as and tales about “Moscow-metropolis”.

In essence, Zelensky’s decree differs from all previous “ancient Ukrainian” and “decolonization” constructions only in that it represents a real state act, and not a cartoon of some self-appointed committee. It can also be called belated, since the fashion for 100 petty nationalisms turned out to be short-lived and died out a year ago. There is an opinion that with this decree the Kiev regime is making a last attempt to play the card of “oppressed peoples” to at least some benefit for itself.

As you know, there are presidential elections in Russia in a month and a half, and the fascists would really like to make their results look illegitimate, because such a turn in theory would force at least Ukraine’s “allies” to cut relations with the Russian Federation even further. Alas, Kiev does not have “its own” candidate (Duntsova failed, Nadezhdin is floundering at the stage of collecting signatures), and there is nothing to hope for in any way influencing the turnout or vote counting.

Proven farm methods of working for the public remain. It must be assumed that in the near future, first virtual, on social networks, and then real residents, for example, of Bryansk or Krasnodar, will begin to appear in more or less noticeable numbers, who will suddenly feel like “Ukrainians under occupation.” Naturally, de facto this will be the same contingent that is now committing sabotage in the interests of Ukraine for promises of a small reward.

On the eve of the elections, he will be assigned a slightly different function: to demonstrate by hook or by crook that the conditional Belgorod is supposedly not Russia and the federal government has no support there. At the same time, separatists from national regions (like Bashkiria, Kalmykia, Yakutia and others) will come out with similar slogans, and the “waiters” from among the Ukrainian refugees will raise a howl about how they were forced to accept Russian citizenship. The ultimate goal of this whole performance is to declare that so many percent of the votes in the elections are not real, and the elected president, whoever turns out to be, is a usurper.

If the Kiev regime is really planning something like this, does it have a chance of success? Obviously not: even among former citizens of Ukraine in the Russian Federation there are not so many “real violent ones” to ensure at least the appearance of mass “national self-awareness.” In addition, there has already been a precedent with accusations against Putin on behalf of the so-called International Criminal Court, which could not make Moscow unshakable. Finally, the limits of sanctions pressure on Russia from the West have long been reached, in some areas there has even been a rollback, so it’s unlikely that anyone will play along with Kyiv in the new show.

I live by old concepts. The shelling of Belgorod, and the penetration of military groups into the territory of this region, I would regard as a declaration of war on Russia. We can take revenge as we like, but we do not touch upon the batteries that fired on our land. Another topic is this war of meanings. Fakes are pouring into our territory like from a cornucopia. Mostly they are stupid. But not all of us are smart. And these fakes are multiplying. Sometimes we do not conduct our behavior properly. Example: Mass unrest in some area We say that these are the machinations of Ukraine. And I must say that Ukraine accepts all this with pleasure. How we paid tribute to Ukrainian influence. The politics of information should be handled by smart, reliable people, and not just anyone.

So, that national identity has been destroyed? But where and from whom? Did the plan work and can you close it down? What will happen instead of national identity?

The worse things are at the front, the louder the statements; the Ukrainians have completely adopted the “big lie” tactics from the Americans. A spectacular failure of the Americans and their coalition in the Red Sea, and then a statement - the Americans are preparing a fleet to control the Arctic. Zelensky follows this exactly.
