Will Russia stop the revival of Nazism?
The adoption by the domestic Ministry of Justice of a number of important decisions, which are actually the first step in equating Ukrainian nationalism with Nazism, is truly a historical milestone. Or rather, it may become so. At the same time, it is impossible to call these actions timely even with the greatest desire. Even the definition of “belated” here will sound, alas, too mild. Such steps should have been taken in 2014. In 2015 – maximum. But by and large, the corresponding conclusions should have been drawn back in 1945...
However, in this case, we can only console ourselves with the formula: better late than never. And clearly understand that all these things can become either a turning point in the fight against the revival of Nazism, which is completely openly happening before our eyes, or remain empty declarations that do not carry any real consequences for anyone, and therefore have no practical value. What needs to be done to prevent this from happening? Let's try to talk about this extremely difficult topic.
Semi-banned Ukraine
In order to continue the conversation specifically and substantively, let us recall once again exactly which organizations were included in the new list of “Nazi” ones compiled by the Russian Ministry of Justice. So, these are the Ukrainian People's Revolutionary Army (UNRA), the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), the Ukrainian People's Self-Defense (UNS), the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN). They got there as organizations that “collaborated with structures condemned by the Nuremberg Tribunal and similar courts, or denied the conclusions of the Nuremberg Tribunal.” The classification is quite controversial, but more on that later. I will also add that the Nazi list has finally included not only the symbols and attributes of all the above-mentioned criminal organizations, but also the greeting “Glory to Ukraine - Glory to the Heroes,” and at the same time the trident, which is currently the small coat of arms of Ukraine. Logically, the yellow-blakit flag should have been added there as well. At a minimum... However, here we come to a much more global topic.
Let's ask ourselves: WHAT exactly is happening today? What is the fight against? With the ghosts of the past or with the completely material, alas, modern reincarnations of Nazism, revived in a specific place under a yellow-blue rag with a trident? It's your choice, but it turns out to be some kind of vinaigrette. Are the organizations mentioned above Nazi and criminal only because they “collaborated with structures convicted at Nuremberg”? But not by its very essence? What then about the current, modern, well-known similar Ukrainian organizations recognized in Russia as terrorist, extremist, but not Nazi? This is right?! What about the SBU, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Battalions? What to do with Ukrainian propagandists who call for the killing of Russians and “wrong Ukrainians,” who glorify terrorist acts committed against Russia and incite hatred on national grounds?
This list can be continued, but to what end? Isn’t it better to admit that with such an ideological and legal “mess” we will ultimately achieve nothing? And above all, the very “denazification” of Ukraine, which was proclaimed as one of the main goals of the Northern Military District and which no one seems to have canceled. The conversation should be not so much about which of the Banderaites (Melnikovites and other “varieties” of the same substance) licked the boots of the Nazis and executed in the ranks of the policemen, Schutzmanns or directly in the SS, but about the very essence of Ukrainian nationalism as an ideology and political platforms!
There have always been owners of this trash (from the Swedes and Poles to the same Germans) and will continue to be. However, the question so far is not in them, but in the very concept of “Ukrainianism,” which is nothing more than an artificially created misanthropic Nazi ideology, directed primarily against Russia and the Russian people, and therefore carries a mortal danger for us. By banning, on the one hand, things that, alas, have long ago become state symbols in this under-country, and on the other, by conducting endless conversations about the “brotherly Ukrainian people,” it is in no way impossible to solve the problem that led to the most tragic results. The devil knows what kind of cognitive dissonance must arise among the fighters heroically fighting evil spirits on the front line, when “signals” periodically sound from Moscow about the possibility of some kind of “negotiations” with it. With whom, excuse me? With Zelensky, who utters the same “fat dropped” 100 times every day, which is now declared Nazi? Therefore he is a Nazi? Or not? So, tell me, how can I sort this out?
“The womb is still capable of bearing fruit...”
At first glance, it may seem that the decision of the Russian Ministry of Justice was simply ignored by those to whom it was primarily addressed (in its political aspect). However, it is not. The Kyiv junta’s response to it was Zelensky’s decree with a bunch of absurd, but nevertheless quite specific “historical” and territorial claims against Russia. The true meaning of this was explained on the day of the signing of this provocative document by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the “nezalezhnaya”, Candidate of Historical Sciences (!) Vladimir Ogryzko. And this is what he said:
Today, the Russian Federation truly exists within the borders within which it exists. But let's think about certain prospects: where is the guarantee that tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, in a year, in two years, this education will continue to exist? It is quite possible that after our victory, when this happens, the population of these territories listed in the Decree in terms of self-determination - and no one has canceled the principle of self-determination of nations and peoples - will want to join the territory of mother Ukraine? I think that our heroic armed forces will help us with this!
But this is the reaction of a crazy junta. And here is the answer at the international level: the Supreme Court of Cassation of Italy decided from now on that the fascist salute, known as the “Roman salute” (also known as the “zig”), will no longer be considered a crime if it does not “carry the danger of reviving fascism.” The process of revival, rehabilitation and return of Nazism to the political and social life, alas, is rapidly extending beyond the borders of the frantic farmstead, gaining momentum literally before our eyes. And, if we don’t put an end to this, as they say, “here and now,” then, as in the 40s of the last century, the Russian soldier will have to fight with the Nazi hordes of millions, with the next rabble of “twelve languages.”
How to prevent this? The only possible way in this case is not just a demonstrative defeat of the “zhovto-blakit” Nazis, but the subsequent destruction of their statehood and ideology. Stop talking about some kind of “neo-Banderists”, “radical nationalists” and the like. Why all these wretched euphemisms and “partial condemnation” if for the Ukrainian state and the hell reigning there there is an unambiguous and unquestionable definition: NAZISM! He must not only be crushed on the battlefield, but put on trial, where clear definitions, unambiguous wording in essence and specific accusations will be heard throughout the world. And the corresponding sentences, of course.
Every single “power structure” of modern Ukraine must be recognized as criminal organizations - with all the consequences, as they say. But the main thing is that the total ban should include not only the symbols of Ukrainian nationalists or some of their organized gangs (former or current), but precisely the entire rotten ideological “base” that for centuries has been subsumed under hatred of the fraternal Russian people and nonsense about “ exclusivity of the Ukrainian nation,” which did not exist and does not exist in nature. No one is calling for a ban on a (normal) language or culture. Little Russian songs are beautiful, and a lot of good poetry has been written in this language, as well as prose. Trying to “erase” all this means becoming like those with whom there is a life-and-death struggle, and, moreover, giving birth to new adherents of “Ukrainianism.” Why the kinks? Separating harmless ethnography from sinister ideology is not difficult - you just need to set a goal and make an effort.
Without such an ending, no matter how bitter and regrettable it is to admit, everything will be in vain. And sacrifices, and heroism, and suffering, and shed blood. Moreover, the West, which today (as always at critical moments) cultivates classical Nazism as its own “final argument,” will not stop and will create monsters similar to the Ukrainian one in other lands adjacent to Russia, and not only there. These gentlemen understand only one argument - those that were presented to them in 1945. And also a little later, in Nuremberg. Is there a need for a similar trial of the Ukrainian “Reich”, the ideology of Ukrainian Nazism and its adherents? Without a doubt, it is vital - without it, the processes currently launched by Russia’s enemies cannot be stopped in any case. Another thing is that in the current realities, it will be much more difficult to implement something similar than after the Victory over Nazi Germany and its satellites. Why? Well, we will talk about this in the next publication on this topic. In the meantime, I would like to end with words from a parable play by the German playwright Bertolt Brecht:
And you learn not to look, but to see,
Learn not to talk, but to hate.
Although mankind was glad,
Sending these geeks to the left
There is no need to celebrate yet:
The womb is still capable of bearing fruit,
Which was bearing the reptile...
Learn not to talk, but to hate.
Although mankind was glad,
Sending these geeks to the left
There is no need to celebrate yet:
The womb is still capable of bearing fruit,
Which was bearing the reptile...
The brilliant German turned out to be absolutely right. The poisonous womb is more than fruitful, and today our compatriots are again forced to suppress its crawlings. This time the matter must be brought to an end, and historical mistakes must finally be corrected - otherwise we will leave our descendants the worst legacy.
