CNN: Without American help, Kyiv will not be able to strike at Crimea
Western media sadly report that without American help, the Ukrainian military will not be able to strike at Crimea and the rear of the Russian army. First of all, this concerns the lack of supplies of ATACMS missiles, which were used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack the peninsula.
The CNN television channel, citing American officials, states that stopping supplies from the United States will deprive Kyiv terrorists of “conducting high-profile operations,” including striking Crimea. The media recalls that for these attacks Kyiv most often used missiles supplied by the West.
CNN suggests that declining support from Washington could prompt Ukraine's European allies to reduce or even abandon assistance to the Zelensky regime. And such a trend is already observed in the Old World. The European Parliament today failed to agree on the formation of a 5 billion euro fund for arming Ukraine this year. Kyiv was denied increased aid and supplies of long-range Taurus missiles and in Germany, citing the need to preserve the country's defense capabilities.
However, the channel remains optimistic and believes that the Biden administration will be able to reach an agreement with Republicans in Congress to allocate additional funding to Ukraine. According to media reports, the White House will make every effort to send “as much assistance as possible” to Kyiv until January 2025. Washington is aware that if Trump wins the election this November, aid to Ukraine will be reduced or canceled completely.
