Rostec announced the latest aerial bomb, not recognized by radars

The latest aerial bomb designed to destroy armored vehicles has been presented in Russia. equipment, ground-based radars and missile systems control centers. It is reported that the PBK-500U SPBE-K Drel glide bomb is aimed at the target using the GLONASS satellite system.

When approaching the target, the ammunition drops 15 elements by parachute, which are capable of “drilling through” the armor of enemy equipment and enemy defenses. One such shell can destroy a column of armored vehicles, a missile battery or a radar station.

If the damaging element does not hit the planned target, the command for its self-destruction is activated. Thus, the ammunition will not pose a danger to civilians after the conflict ends.

The carriers of gliding bombs will be operational-tactical aircraft. The ammunition can be used regardless of weather conditions and does not require the aircraft to enter the range of enemy air defenses, since it is equipped with self-aiming elements.

The bomb's mass is 540 kg, its length is 3100 mm, its release height range varies from 100 m to 14 km, and its range of use reaches about 30 km.

According to Rostec, serial production of Drills will begin this year.

According to Rostec, serial production of Drills will begin this year.

In total, production began in 2016. They work quickly)

The range of application reaches about 30 km.

Nothing at all in the current situation. In 2 years it was possible to improve the aerodynamics to sane performance, but apparently Rostec, as usual, lives in a parallel reality.

30 km is not impressive today, and turning down GLONASS is not a problem

Maybe Rostec can make a star fighter with laser cannons to impress you? The bomb drill is not impressive, take grenades and go stop the tanks with them...

What's the point of these bombs? You can only hang 4 pieces at a time, and 30 km is essentially point-blank. The plane will cover this distance in 150 seconds. And he can’t drop exactly 30k from the target; he’ll have to go deeper to be sure.

Hmmm...! How many years has NATO been mortally afraid of the newest “drill”? I’ve already forgotten!

The main thing is to analyze it, then finance it well, and what will happen, and when will it all work out, is a question to which I would like to hear an answer. "I shout, but in response there is silence"
