Russia will use Tu-214R to identify Ukrainian Armed Forces bunkers

13

Currently, the Ukrainian military has launched serious construction activities along the line of combat contact with the Russian Armed Forces in the area of the Northern Military District and on sections of the borders with Russia and Belarus. They are creating fortified underground facilities, trying to strengthen the defensive lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to Ukrainian sources, numerous and varied bunker-type objects are being built, ranging from cylindrical corrugated steel tanks buried in the ground to a depth of 10-15 meters with special stiffeners to entire fortification units, complex structures, including reinforced concrete ones, where “anthills” are located. , headquarters and other related military infrastructure, including warehouses and storage facilities. The in-depth complexes will be equipped with NBC protection equipment, communication systems and autonomous power supply, will have a supply of food, water and fuel, as well as some protection from electromagnetic influence and various reconnaissance equipment.

Russia will use Tu-214R to identify Ukrainian Armed Forces bunkers

Before the start of large-scale offensive actions by the Russian Armed Forces in 2024, Russian Tu-214R reconnaissance aircraft, which were specially designed for electronic and optical-electronic reconnaissance, will be engaged in identifying such objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As of March 2022, the Russian Armed Forces had only two such aircraft (RF-64511 and RF-64514), equipped with MRK-411 multi-frequency radio systems with lateral and all-round radar, as well as a high-resolution optical-electronic system "Fraction" .

Aircraft can detect targets by their radio emissions and transmit very precise coordinates. The approximate range of the radar in active mode on the surface is 250 km, and in passive mode – up to 400 km, but underground objects are detected at a distance of 120 km. After their identification, the coordinates will be transmitted to the Russian Aerospace Forces, which have a large range of aviation weapons (anti-bunker ammunition) to influence such targets.

It is necessary to “bind” detected objects to GPS!

Building bunkers along the entire border will do little to help them. Bunkers can act as medieval castles, blocking supply routes. But all these roads are unlikely to be needed to supply a group of troops; there will probably be no more than a dozen out of hundreds. If you destroy only those bunkers that will interfere with work on a particular road, the rest can be ignored. It will be enough to establish surveillance and not allow those underground to get out and replenish provisions. And it is unlikely that the hardness of these bunkers will even remotely resemble those that are built in peacetime.

10-15 meters...as if there were no bunker bombs....what's the point? The mousetrap is real. Or will they continue to dig tunnels in different directions, like in Gaza? Well, dig, dig. It would be better if they dug a new sea, it would be more useful, otherwise they will soon be left without access to the Black Sea)

Let’s just say that no one will spend bunker-busting bombs on this trifle, it’s too expensive, and unlike the American ones, which are equipped with a planning module, our UMPC BETABs cannot be equipped, the design is not the same. And without them, the air defense will click the planes.

    In the article:

Most likely the numbers are mixed up...

nothing is mixed up, everything is correct. Passive mode has a longer range, but only against emitting targets.

Well, first of all, let them mark it on the map with a pencil. And then Jps, Glonass. You still remember the Glonass era. Money down the drain.

I am surprised by armchair experts who claim that Ukrainian bunkers are complete nonsense, they should not be feared and taken into account.. There, military engineers with higher education work together with foreign experts, but armchair commentators, of course, know better laughing

We decided to immediately build multi-person coffins and bury them deeper, so as not to spend money on cemeteries later.
